Just got back from another sweaty workout. Today was strictly cardio day, did one hour on the treadmill and burned 605 calories. I must have been going pretty hard today because now I have a blister on the bottom of my right foot near the front of my feet...it hurts! I wonder if there's anything else that can possibly go wrong with my feet!! It limits my workouts...I'm really hoping I get my orthotics soon.

We are heading out to the movies tonight, haven't been there in awhile.

I'm very excited for the last episode of Hell's Kitchen next week...I really really hope Bonnie gets it.

Had a pretty good workout again today. I was getting mad during the circuit workout though because people kept cutting in on the machine I would be going to next..and you aren't supposed to interrupt people in the circuit. It's the same lady that does it every single time I'm there. Ugh...I so want to say something, but it might be rude? Although it's not rude considering they had signs posted telling people not to cut in! ERRR!

I did 40 minutes on the elliptical today and burned 350 calories.

I think going back to the gym 5 days is working. I'm feeling like I'm more motivated to be there again..because I'm not having a day off in between. When we did that it made me not want to go the following day...so 5 days is good.

Talked to Dennis today about Japan. He went there for wrestling...he said everything is so weird over there and they line the blocks with vending machines....he said they don't have waiters or waitresses or anything that talk to you...apparently you put coins into a machine and press a button under a picture of the food you want...and a ticket comes out. You take that to a counter and they get the food....REALLY WEIRD! He also said there are no fat people there...but not any muscular ones either...also weird.

Only 2 more days left of the work week. I'm looking forward to the weekend. I'm throwing around the idea of going to the beach again for the day. Not sure if it will happen or not....but I'd really like to.

I have been so tired this week. I haven't really been staying up later than normal either, guess it's just getting to me. On the other hand, it might be because I'm dehydrated because I know I don't get enough water. I read an article the other day that said the reason you can wake up grumpy, in a bad mood and tired, is because you're dehydrated...hmmm? *LOL* I have to get up at 5:30am every morning for work though....I don't think I'll ever be a morning person regardless of how much water I drink.

We just got back from a cardio day at the gym. I did a full hour on the elliptical today and burned 580 calories and almost made it 5 miles. Not too shabby. I had my resistance at level 10. I think my cardiovascular system is overly good because I can be killing myself and my heart rate still sits around 120 usually. It takes a lot of work to get it above that.

Food For Today:
Breakfast-2 omega-3 eggs, 2 flax toast, 1/2 banana, skim milk
Snack: 1/2 flax bagel w/light cream cheese, 1 turkey bite
Lunch: smoked turkey deli meat sandwich on flax, w/ a green apple and grapes...water
Snack: 13 mini rice cakes, strawberries & blueberries, water
Supper: toasted chicken sandwich w/lettuce, hot peppers & mustard...water
Snack: protein shake, fruit bar, handful of trail mix...water

Hey Missy, what did your hr used to get up to on the eliptical? Mine usually sits around 150-160 and I always think that that is WAY too high... but I feel fine.

At my biggest? Probably 160 or so. I have a hard time getting it over 130 now.

We did the circuit room again today...did I mention that room exhausts the crap outta me? I can still manage to do the whole room in a little over 10 minutes though....and there's 22 weight machines in there I have to use.

Today I just did 35 minutes of cardio on the elliptical and burned 325 cals.

Talked to Dennis's fiance today at the gym about wedding junk. They are hoping to get married next summer so it's exciting to have someone else I can talk to about things! We are getting our estimate on the hall this weekend!!

Oh...and I came across a VERY good quote when I was at work today:
"The only limitation in your life is the limitation of your own thinking"

I just started watching a show on the Discovery Health channel called Buff Brides. I think I just re-found the motivation I was looking for. Watching them workout and then seeing them in their gowns in the end made me bawl. The one I watched this morning had 2 women on it and they both lost about 20 pounds in 4 months for their wedding. The one girl picked out a dress that was 2 sizes too small and she was busting out when she picked it....at her last fitting they had to take the dress in 2 sizes! This show along with the upcoming Biggest Loser is all I need to get back to where I once was as far as motivation goes.

I have 13 and 1/2 months to lose about 38 pounds....yup...that's all I have to lose to get to around my goal for the wedding. If Matt does get the full-time position, I have been seriously considering working with Dennis again. I know I'd get to my goal for my wedding with him kicking my butt.

The banquet manager emailed me our estimates last night for the hall. The estimates were around what I thought they would be so at least there wasn't any shock. There is a wedding there next weekend on the 18th and he told us we could come into the hall around 3pm if we wanted to see it all decorated and done up for the wedding. I think we are definately going to do that...he had said we could do some food sampling too so I think it's a good idea.

I didn't do too much this weekend, decided not to go to the beach. Maybe some other time. I want to go one more time before summer's over though. I did a lot of little wedding planning things this weekend though. I picked out a few scriptures and prayers to be read at the ceremony and I contacted a local vocalist to see if she'll sing the song "Amazed" that's by Lonestar during the ceremony. Matt and I both decided on what we're doing for our wedding favors...little personalized shot glasses with red & silver hershey kisses in it. Found a few really good locations to do pictures.

We are probably going to book the hall this week and then look at the chapel either this week or next depending on our schedules. We have an appointment with the councellor again this week...we are going to councelling sessions...basically like the marriage councelling stuff people do before they get married. Hmmm what else? We were debating our honeymoon...we either wanted to go somewhere like the Dominican (or somewhere similar) or Italy. We did decide we'd rather do Italy another time and just want something more relaxing for a honeymoon. In Italy I'd want to pack my schedule so I see everything!!

My parents stopped by for a little bit today, they didn't stay too long because they were driving my sister and her boyfriend back home.

Season Finale of Hell's Kitchen is on tomorrow night...can't wait to see who get it! Hope it's Bonnie!!

Had our cheat meal yesterday....nachos! Got some of the whole grain chips with some extra lean ground turkey, fat free sour cream, hot salsa, jalapeno peppers and cheese. They were SO good!

We'll probably go out for a walk after supper tonight because the weather is gorgeous! Hope you all had a good weekend!

I'll end off today with another quote:
"Don't quit when the tide is lowest, for it's just about to turn. Don't quit over doubts and questions, for there's something you may learn. Don't quit when the night is darkest, for it's just a while 'til dawn, don't quit when you've run the farthest, for the race is almost won. Don't quit when the hill is steepest, for your goal is almost nigh; Don't quit for you're not a failure, until you fail to try".

Forgot to come in here and post yesterday...we've been pretty busy again at work and we have a lot of catching up to do so we're working all the overtime hours we can get.

Apparently I should be getting my orthotics by early next week if everything goes right with my insurance company. I can't wait to feel some relief.

I spent an hour on the elliptical today at the gym and burned 625 calories. I beat my record on there! It's not the same as the other ellipticals I used to do...on the other ones I could burn around 850 in an hour...

In the book I'm reading it said that the low intensity cardio stuff burning more fat is a myth. It says you should aim to have your heart rate high, so that's what I've been doing the last little while. It reads: "The lower the intensity, the lower the total number of calories burned....the higher the intensity, the greater number of calories burned. At lower intensities you burn a greater percentage of calories from fat than carbohydrates....and at higher intensities you burn a greater percentage of calories from carbohydrates. The total number of calories burned and high intensity cardio burns the most calories. High intensity cardio also raises your metabolic rate after the workout to a much greater degree than low intensity." It also says just to do cardio for no longer than one hour...because after an hour it doesn't do anything and you end up overtraining which can cause weight loss plateaus.

So...I did my cardio today in intervals getting my heart rate up to 160 for a good minute or two and then doing moderate cardio for 3 minutes. Repeat. I'm guessing the reason my weight has plateaud for so long is because I need a bigger challenge than I'm getting. I might try doing some boxing again since it burns a crapload of calories. I already have the gloves and they have a whole boxing studio in the gym. I am determined to get these last 30-40 pounds off before my wedding!

Very disappointed in Hell's Kitchen last night. I really think Bonnie took it well though, she was a good sport about it.

Just got back from my workout. Today was cardio day so I did an hour on the elliptical and ended up burning 625 calories today. Matt and I got to talking to one of the guys at the front desk and after our free year is up (in Feb), he's going to see if he can get us another free year...pretty sweet if you ask me. He also said he's going to be starting up his own classes outside of the gym and I think I'd be interested in trying it...it's something called plyometrics and they look really hard! I need a change though. I'm pretty much willing to try anything right about now.

He also mentioned that he has this book that has workouts for couples...where you use one anothers body as a weight and do different exercises together...seems kinda fun. He said he'd show us sometime when we're there a few workouts we can try.

Just finished another sweaty workout. Did the circuit room today...I really hate doing leg weights. It's a good workout, but it takes a lot of energy out of me haha. We did 40 min on the elliptical today and I burned 420 calories.

Don't have too much planned for the weekend. Going to the hall tomorrow to put down the deposit and sign the contract, do some food sampling. My sister is coming along...and then she's coming here for supper.

Have 2 loads of laundry to do at some point. Have a great weekend everyone!
