Rocky's Road -- August 2007

I can't believe it is August already and summer is almost over. I personally LOVE winter so I can't wait for it to finally snow!!! =) I couldn't weigh myself this morning because my scale is all packed up in one of my many moving boxes so I'll have to do that tomorrow. I have had a pretty good day so far. Went for a good 45 min. walk with my cousin and his dog this morning. Good thing we went earlier because it is way too hot to walk in the afternoon here. We need cooler days. The walk was surprisingly painless. So that makes me very happy! I'll see if I can withstand the gym tomorrow. Which also the day my movers are coming! YAY!!! Finally! I have been having a rough time moving. I had booked movers for Monday but when I called my building manager to confirm my move that morning, he told me I COULDN'T move becasue one of the elevators was down (I live on the 18th floor) so it was against the law for him to tie up the other one. Which I understood so I tried to get a hold of my movers all morning and afternoon (they were supposed to come at 4pm) and there was NO answer ALL day! So EVEN if the elevator hadn't broke down my movers didn't even show up! I was pretty pissed. But now I have NEW movers coming tomorrow and hopefully it will all go flawlessly. I hate thinking that I am going to have to go through this whole process again in a couple months! Ughhh.

Nothing else to report today. I hope everyone is having a good 1st of August!

Hey everyone. It has been a crazy 9 days... I finally got all moved and am now happily typing on my wireless laptop that I just set up. Pretty easy, but ran into some problems that the 24 hour help number were able to sort out with me. I haven't lost any weight this month yet. I started out at 230 and am still the same (as of this morning). Not surprisingly though. I have done nothing to change my ways so really I wasn't expecting much. BUT tomorrow is a new day. I FINALLY go back to work after being off for 2 months from my accident. So that also means going to the gym before work to get myself in a nice lil routine. I am looking forward to a lot of good changes that are coming up in my life. today is a good day!

=)

Being back at work has taken a lot more out of me than I thought it would. I haven't been able to work out as much as I had hoped. I have been doing well with food though.

Take it easy and do what you can. Eating right is something I always struggle with. But if you keep it up, it will become second nature, and then when your body's ready, you'll be able to concentrate more on exercise.

So it's the last day of August... I haven't stepped on a scale since the last time I weighed on the 9th. Haven't been to the gym still, but I have been walking everynight with my cousin, her son and dog. I stepped on the scale today and I am down 3 lbs since August 1. Which isn't a TON but it makes me happy to see the number went down. I feel like I have lost this past month, still a long ways to go and I want to be able to snowboard in the winter which might be iffy because of my back... but at least if I get into decent shape I won't do as much harm.

Congrats on the weight loss, Rocky. I think 3 lbs in a month is great, especially considering that you are recovering from major injuries. Sue
