Just got back from our 3 day vacation at the beach. We had a great time. I did manage to get a sunburn though that doesn't feel the greatest, but the water was nice to swim in! I think I took about 41 pictures or so, so I'm hoping there's some good ones. We did some cute things in the sand and took some pics to use for our wedding that will be cute and different. We wrote our names and the wedding date out in the sand using little stones and such..looks pretty cute.
Our eating was way off diet, but we weren't too concerned. We barely ever get away and we are anal every other day of the year as far as food goes...so we ate what we wanted and had fun. Tuesday night we drank some wine and vodka coolers, we had some ice cream down on the pier, for supper we ate at the inn. I had some teryaki chicken, rice and cooked veggies with some side scallops. On Wednesday night we ate on one of the patio's on the beach...and we had an order of nachos and I had a cajun chicken caesar salad w/ a strawberry daquiri! It was delicious!
We also went mini-golfing. There were a lot of people playing the night we were there, it was so much fun though. I have only played a few times in the last few years, so it was nice for a little change. Then we took a blanket and sat on the beach, cuddled together to watch the sunset.
I'm kinda sad to be back home. When you're gone it feels like you don't have a care in the world...and then to come back, reality sets back in haha. Ah well, we had a wonderful time though.
We are hitting the gym tomorrow, so I'm hoping to pound out a good hour of cardio. This weekend we might go to the park and feed the ducks again, take some pics and go running on the trail along the river. Then it's back to work on Monday.

A note about the fountain. A friend is borrowing ours for a wedding ( outside, so she wasn't too worried about the splatter) but she is trying some things to lessen it. She said something about putting marbles in the basins, and that it really helped. I'm not really clear about what she did, and I am trying to get more info. She said it didn't eliminate the splattering completely, but cut it down significantly.
This info. comes second hand through my husband, who works with her. It's kind of tough to get the details, but I know he wants to know too, in case we ever want to use the silly thing again.
Sounds like you had a nice, relaxing trip. We are going on one in early August. Not as relaxing as yours though -- we're taking in Silver Dollar City and a big water park in Branson, MO. We're also going to stop in Mansfield, to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. My daughter and I are huge fans. I'm not that excited about the parks, but do enjoy any type of roller coaster, and water slide, so it should be fun.
Do you have your orthodics yet?

On the odd occasion I've thought "hmm, golf maybe worth a try" then reminded myself I'm not an old gimmer and there's better ways to waste an afternoon
Glad your enjoying yourself

Miniature golf is fun! The real game, though, is aptly described by the title of a book I gave my husband a few years ago: "A Good Walk Spoiled."

haha, I've never played real golf, I don't think I'd be very good at it.
We just got back from the gym...yes I went and I'm on holidays! We did the circuit workout today (fat burn room), I increased my weights on a few things, so I was pretty happy about that. I'm really working on toning my upper body...so I increased a lot of my back, chest and shoulder exercises.
I did a full hour of cardio today on the elliptical and ended up burning 540 calories today.
Stopped in at the orthotics place and made another appointment for Monday. They will figure out the sizing and correct way to customize them for me and then I should have them in another week or so...looking forward to it! In the meantime, I was shown how to tape my feet using tensor bandage to help take the pain off my arches.

We're just about ready to go pick up our weekly groceries. I've changed some of my foods around....AGAIN, so I need some new things today. I'm trying to cut out some carbs, I eat way to much of them, especially at night which is horrible.
Tomorrow we're going to pack up a picnic lunch and spend the day at the park. We'll probably feed the ducks and go for our run along the trail. I wanted to do it today, but we got busy doing other things.
I have to go back to work on Monday, not looking forward to it. I liked having 9 days in a row off! Ah well, I only have to work 2 weeks and then it's a long weekend....so it's all good.

Just got back from the gym. I did only 1/2 a workout today because I had an appointment with the chiropractor again about my orthotics. So today I did my back, chest, shoulders, arms and abs..lower back. I skipped out on my legs today because there wasn't enough time. I only did 1/2 hour of cardio today too on the elliptical and burned around 250 cals.
Today the chiropractor measured my feet and everything and sent the order away...I should have them in the next couple of weeks. He showed me some exercises to help relieve the pain a bit. He also recommends I do the chiropractor therapy along with it because there will be more progress, so I'm probably going to do it.
They have overtime at work all this week again so I'm grabbing up hours to put money away!

Just got back from my workout today. We did the circuit room today and I'm so incredibly exhausted. After that spent a good 45 minutes on the elliptical today and burned around 350 calories. My foot was killing me when I got off, so I went and did some calf stretches. Apparently Plantar Fasciitis is also caused by having tight calves....so he told me stretching them multiple times a day can help relieve the pain.
Anyways, time to shower.
Todays Food:
Breakfast: 2 omega-3 eggs, 2 flax toast, 1/ banana, skim milk
Snack: 1 turkey bite, 1/2 flax bagel w/light cream cheese
Lunch: 2 pcs flax bread w/smoked turkey breast & salami w/mustard & hot peppers
Snack: fresh blueberries and strawberries, 13 mini rice cakes
Supper: chicken breast, whole grain rice w/peas & hot pepper
Snack: low fat jello, 13 almonds, 2pcs turkey breast deli meat

Isn't it great being able to get fresh berries this time of year? I have been enjoying it immensely.
