I just got back from the doctors office...and yup, he said it was Plantar Fasciitis. He said there are 3 steps to treating it and he likes to do them in order to what's necessary. So, he prescribed me some anti-inflammatory pills for right now and told me to go into any orthotics place and have them do a scan of my feet. Then...when I get the reports of their findings from the scan, I am supposed to go back to the original doctor I saw today and he can give me a prescription if I need custom-made orthotics.

He said after the orthotics, the third step is to see a chiropractor. I asked him about my workouts and if I should stop the treadmill/running etc and he told me no, that I am to keep doing my normal routine. He told me I am not to disrupt my normal schedule and things that I always do...he said to keep doing it..and that what he is prescribing should treat it little by little.

We just got back from shopping too and I bought a new black bathing suit. It's a tankini because I'm still not ready to bare my stomach *LOL* I got my pics developed and they turned out great, I should post some of them once I scan them.

I also bought this really awesome juice fountain that I thought would be so perfect to use at the wedding reception. Isn't it purty?

Hi Missy, I'm so glad you've got some direction now on what's going on with your feet. It's good that there are several things that might help, too. I like the picture with the cat in the background...if it were my cat, she would be IN the fountain! Sue

Just got back from a real sweaty workout. We did the circuit training room again today, I did pretty good. Decided to do the elliptical again today, was on it for about 40 min and burned just over 300 calories.

I have an appointment tomorrow with an orthotics place to do the scan of my feet, I'm curious as to how bad they really are. I'm hoping it's fixable and I don't have to pay money out the wazoo to fix this problem.

Todays Food-
Breakfast: 2 omega-3 eggs, 2 flax toast, 1/2 banana, skim milk
Snack: 1/2 bagel w/light cream cheese, 1 turkey stick
Lunch: salad, 1/2 egg salad sandwich on flax bread, 1 green apple
Snack: 13 mini rice cakes, fresh strawberries & blueberries
Supper: 1 cup green peas, 1 cup carrots, 1 chicken breast
Snack: Protein shake, fruit bar, 1 low fat/sugar free popsicle

Hell's Kitchen is on tonight...wonder how the b**** is going to ruin the men's team now with her nagging. I hope she gets the boot tonight.

I went to my appointment today at the orthotics clinic. It went pretty good, the guy I spoke with was very nice. They had this really cool scanner that I had to coordinate myself with walking over so they could process how I walk, where the majority of my weight falls on my feet when I walk etc...I guess the results showed that my feet are pretty bad, my arch is way off to what it's normally supposed to be and I seem to walk mostly on the inside and fronts of my feet (probably to take the pain off my heels). Sooo...he's making me some custom orthotics. They are supposed to properly align my feet and force me to walk properly. He suggests doing treatment along with the orthotics for the best results...so I'm guessing I'm going to be seeing a chiropractor now as well for it.

The anti-inflammatory pills the other doctor gave me seem to be working a bit. I don't notice the pain as much the last couple days and I even did 40 min cardio last night on them and they didn't kill me today.

Only 3 more days left of work and then I'm on holidays for a week, I can't wait to have some time off. I'm also really looking forward to spending a few days at the beach. I'll still have some holidays leftover, so I might take some time off again around Christmas.

Next year, I'm going to have to pay extra attention to how many holidays I get so I have enough saved up to go on a honeymoon! I'm really hoping we can go to the Dominican or someplace like that. Matt's parents have a holiday package and you can basically stay in any of the resorts for free, along with your meals...so I'm hoping we can save some money that way.

Guess that's all I have for now...still need to shower and make my lunch for work tomorrow. Have a great night everyone

Just got back from a pretty good workout. I did the circuit room again today. It really does a toll on the cardio system, I am completely exhausted by the time I finish. I spent about 40-45 min on the elliptical today and burned around 360 calories today, I was pretty impressed with the improvement!

I don't have much else to update on, so I'll leave off with todays food.

Breakfast: 2 omega-3 eggs, 2 flax toast, 1/2 banana, skim milk
Snack: 1 turkey bite, 1/2 flax bagel w/light cream cheese
Lunch: whole wheat spaghetti, 1 green apple
Snack: 13 mini rice cakes, fresh blueberries and kiwi
Supper: whole grain rice w/green peas, hot peppers and turkey breast
Snack: protein shake, fruit bar & low fat/low sugar popsicle

I had an unexpected workout at work today! The fire alarm went off and we all had to go outside....so I had to truck down 17 flights of stairs! Surprisingly I wasn't tired or out of breath at all, much much improvement. It turns out it was just a false alarm. Thankfully I'm not a woman who wears heels, I felt bad for them. I always wear my black running shoes to work because of my feet...my pants are long enough you can't even notice anyways. I may as well be comfortable.

Just got back from my real workout at the gym. I did the circuit room again today and then spent about 40-45 minutes on the elliptical. Ended up burning around 350-360 calories.

Going back to see the original doctor I saw about my feet so he can write a prescription for the orthotics (I need a prescription signed by a physician in order to be approved with my work benefits). I'm going to the clinic tomorrow.

Todays Food-
Breakfast: 2 omega-3 eggs, 2 pcs flax toast, 1/2 banana, skim milk
Snack: 1 turkey stick, 1/2 flax bagel w/light cream cheese
Lunch: whole grain spaghetti, 1 green apple
Snack: 13 mini rice cakes, fresh kiwi & strawberries
Supper: 1 cup green peas, 1 cup carrots, 1 turkey breast
Snack: protein shake, fruit bar, 1 low fat/low sugar popsicle

Here's the scan they did of my feet, the blue line is normal and the red lines are what my feet are like.

Hello Missy,
I'm glad you're getting some help with your feet. I bet it will make a world of difference.
I also wanted to give you a little head's up about your fountain. We got one similar to the one in the picture for my son's graduation. I ran it beforehand, with just water in it, and didn't notice anything, but on the day of the party, with red punch of course-- it splattered all over the table. It was really pretty gross. It might have been ok on it's own table, but the way I had things set up, it didn't work well at all. The wall behind it looked like a crime scene, with all the red spatter!
Not saying yours will do that, but be sure to check it out first.

I'm pretty excited about tomorrow and the next couple days. Matt and I are leaving tomorrow morning to go to the beach for 3 days! I'm off this week on holidays and the weather is awesome, hopefully it lasts the whole week. I get to wear my new bathing suit tomorrow too, so I'm pretty stoked about that. I'm also looking forward to swimming, I haven't been in awhile, so I'm going to be doing a lot of it the next few days. While we're there, I'm hoping to also play some mini-golf. I haven't done that in a long time either.

We are having dinner tomorrow night at the Inn we booked, it comes with the room package...so hopefully it's good. We have a room with a jacuzzi...should be nice. Then on Wednesday night we are going to have dinner on one of the patio restaurants on the beach. I'm taking my camera along, so hopefully I'll get some good shots.

My parents were up yesterday for a little while to visit. We talked about a wedding shower and some games to play. I think we came up with about 8 different games we can play. Matt and I are getting 2 co-ed wedding showers...one that my mom is having for both my mom & dads side. Then Matt's mom is having one for us with their families and friends.

I don't have much else going on in life right now. We're planning to have 2 kids after we get married. I'll be 28 when I get married, so I think we're planning our first when I'm 29 or so. I'm pretty happy about it. I'm hoping to drop this last 35-40 pounds before the wedding...then I'll be sitting happily around 130-135. After I have the kids, I'm probably going to be looking into getting a tummy tuck & boob lift maybe once I work off the baby fat.

Anyways, have a great week everyone!
