Ok, I haven't really been on sight for nearly a week now. I've popped in a couple of times, but I've been so busy trying to help the kids get their Science Fair Projects completed. There's nothing like finding out AFTER you think things are done correctly that changes need to be made. I think the kids should have been told ahead of time to include the information in their reports, not AFTER the final report was submitted! (grrrrrr!!!! It really ticked me off last week!) I thought I was going to die when I found out that the children were supposed to put footnotes in their reports, when the outline for science fair clearly stated footnotes were only supposed to be for 7th & 8th grades, not fifth and sixth! That lead to a huge debate on how the reports should be judged, and I made certain to let the judges know that there was most definitely a lack of communication, and the message about having to include footnotes most certainly did NOT make it home. The children completed their assignments according to the guidelines set forth in the booklet assigned to their grade level, not according to a verbal statement the teacher allegedly made in class. I'm SO thankful that this whole mess is over I can't stand it! At this point, I have such a poor attitude about the whole thing both of my kids could bring F's home and I seriously doubt I'd do a darn thing about it!

Ok, on to my journal.... Science Fair caused such stress these past couple of months that last week I decided to set myself aside until we could make sure everything was completed and handed in on time. Now that it's done and over with, it's time to get back to me time!!!!! My husband found out that I won the book and dvd, and kindly informed me he would like to see me put the dvd to good use. (It's still unwrapped and in it's original packaging, but only because I decided to hold off until I could dedicate myself to it, and last week I knew I couldn't!). Anyway, this morning I intend on figuring out how to reconnect the dvd player and get it working once again. I'm hoping I really enjoy it. If so, it will be very encouraging and I'll have a desire to continue with it. Yeah, I'm actually looking forward to it.

Ok, time for me to get off of here and get busy fixing it. It's nice to be back, and I look forward to catching up on everyone's posts as soon as I can.

Talking Welcome Back!

Glad to see that you are focusing on yourself now - I know how it can be when you are busy with everybody else in the household. That is where my mistake has been all these years - I was never paying attention to myself. Now that I have ME time I am much happier, less stressed, and my family feels the same, especially my husband. lol

I have been working out to the BL dvd - since winning it. The low intensity has many lunges and is very tough - don't be discouraged when you watch it - don't be discouraged when you are working out and you won't to quit. Continue with the workout - you will feel so good when you are finished with it. Trust Me! I wanted to quit but I didn't...keep on keeping on! You can do it! I was upset b/c my left calf muscle was in so much pain after working out to the low intensity that the next time I was supposed to workout to the low intensity I couldn't complete it b/c I was in so much pain. I continued with the Sculpt and Tone - I love this one! I will be working out to the low intensity again today - I should be able to complete it b/c I am in no pain. Completing a workout like this will make you smile - it is hard work but definitely worth it.

Best wishes! Let us know how you do on the workout.

The workout went ok. I wasn't able to perform the lunges, but that's due to not being able to maintain my balance. Every since I got sick 3 years ago, my balance hasn't been the same. I haven't worn heals, nor do I do many activities which require a great deal of balance. At this point I'm happy to be walking, and even more excited to begin exercising once again. I figure the balance will come as I continue to work at it, but for now, full lunges are out of the question. I just adapt the program to fit my needs. Other than that, everything was ok for the most part. I'm afraid I didn't keep up as quickly, but hey I was moving!!!!! I did poop out before the final cool down was over though. At that point I was so tired I was ready to fall to sleep! That was about an hour and a half ago, and I've rested a bit and taken a shower, and I'm feeling pretty good at this point. Well, itme to head to work!
