Well, I'm hoping to kick start my motabolism this morning. I ate a yogurt even though I didn't feel like it. 90 calories. I HATE that!!!!! I'm eating when I'm not hungry, and that seems contradictory to my goal... but seems as if EVERYONE's saying ya gotta eat breakfast to get your body going. I'll end up having my chicken for either lunch for supper, who knows maybe both? I dunno, tuna and crackers sounds pretty good for lunch. Guess I'll have to wait and see. I'm not all so thrilled with the diet thing, but i do have to admit I think I'm feeling better than I had been. Maybe it's starting to work.

Good job on eating this morning!! I know it's hard to eat when you're not hungry or at a time you're not use to, but it's really the right thing to do.

I'm glad you're feeling better. Just remember it'll all be worth it in the end.

I am the same way with breakfast. I have started eating Special K cereal for breakfast and sometimes I will eat it for lunch...not all the time though. I think that I will be eating some tuna and crackers tonight - I was going to eat a burrito but that sounds sooooooo good. YUMMY! It is tough eating breakfast when we never used to do it but do you remember that when we weren't eating breakfast we had a large lunch AND dinner - I do! I would have a large lunch and dinner when I wasn't eating breakfast and healthy snacks through the day.

I'm glad to know that you are feeling better.

Talking Breakfast

I agree...Why should we eat when we actually dont want to? Everyone says that if you blow breakfast you hurt your metabolism and then you chow down later and cant quit. Plus, if you eat a larger breakfast you have more time to work off the calories, instead of eating a large dinner....and then falling asleep with all that food in your stomach. Do you have a favorite yogurt flavor? Boysenberry here! Keep up the great work!

I know it is very weird to eat when you are not really hungry. Until I started counting my calories, I thought I was fine with my 3 small meals each day (I wasn't hungry) but then I found out I was only taking in 700-800 calories! I started to crash and burn about a week and a half later, and upped my calories to 1200-1300. That meant that I had to incorporate two snacks that I neither want or am hungry for. But 3 days later, I feel soooo much better! What was interesting also was that after I lost the initial 7 lbs., I wasn't losing anything because my body started hording it all. Now that I am eating more, I am losing again. I never thought I would have to eat in order to lose weight!

If you dont eat enough...bring on the crankys! If you dont want to eat when you are "supposed" to, try something small. Small is better than not at all. Why does everything I have been typing all of a sudden seem to rhyme?? I am not trying to be Dr Seuss, I swear!
Do you like oatmeal? It is really healthy and filling. Just like the commercials say, "like a warm hug." One-two packages should hold you until lunch, and by then you will want to eat. Keep us posted on your progress!

Yes, I was very cranky for a couple of days! I eat oatmeal for breakfast. I bought a lot of yogurt though, that shouldn't make me feel too full. I was eating cottage cheese for my snack. Somebody else told me that a tsp. of reduced fat peanut butter is a good way to get in a snack just to tie you over.

Well, I didn't eat breakfast at all over the weekend, nor did I eat it this morning. Of course wouldn't you know I felt tired all weekend too? I do have to admit that I'm rather proud of myself for Saturday. My daughter's b-ball team was in charge of the concession stand for the day. I volunteered to take nachos. Ugh, why???? So instead of loading them up with the normal meat, cheese, and sour cream, I left the meat off but kept the s.c. and cheese. I did add lots of salsa though. I figure the extra salsa was better than adding meat. Well, just before it was time to head to the concession stand I downed a quick 1/2 p.b. sandwich and bowl of chili with cheese and crackers. Although I now it wasn't the healthiest thing in the world to eat, it helped keep me from eating anything at all while working the concession stand. I didn't touch the cookies, candy, nachos, hot dogs, little debbies, crackers, etc... I went in with $5.00 in my pocket just in case my son wanted anything, and I came out with the same $5.00 in my pocket!!!! I was SOOOOO proud of myself! Oh, and then.... I was solely responsible for the clean up. So that meant I forced myself to burn extra calories in throwing out the trash, wiping down tables, and hauling everything out to my vehicle. Yeah for me!!!!! I'm rather proud of myself for Saturday!

It takes a BRAVE woman to face down loaded nachos and not chow down. Great work! I am sure you burned off a lot of extra cals showing all those trash bags who was boss. Keep up the great work.

Ahhh nachos, I would have had to run away screamin' like my hair was on fire! Good job Weaver! Sounds like you burned lots of calories in the clean up! You are a stronger woman than me, I would have had a cheese frenzy. Good Job!
