My husband likes tacos but he doesn't like them as much as I do...I could eat them 3 x a week - I'm lucky to get him to eat them one time a week. I don't add too much to my tacos...tortilla shell, lettuce, tomatoes, ground turkey (now) - seasoned, cheese, taco sauce, and sometimes sour cream (I don't eat sour cream much). My brother in law makes killer tacos...OMG they are so good!

2/15/06

Well...I was in here yesterday and forgot to post how my day went. As we all know it was Valentine's Day. I did a really good job on passing up the candy...I had a small taste of some chocolate b/c my daughter thought that it tasted bad and wanted me to try it to be sure it was okay. I told her "Sam, any type of chocolate is going to taste good to me right now." She just giggled!

I will start off here with how my day went...
Woke up @ 6:30am
Ate Special K cereal for breakfast @ 7:15am
Worked out (Walk & Kick video -30min) @ 8am - 8:35am
Cleaned house @ 9am
Took shower @ 10:30am
Business Meeting @ 11:00am
Ate (left over) spaghetti for lunch @ 12:35pm
I didn't eat a snack b/c my calories were up due to lunch.
Worked out (Power Mile video- 15min) @ 1:15pm
Set out the kids valentine's candy @ 2:30pm
Kids got home from school @ 3:15pm
My dad picked me up so that I could go get my car from the shop @ 3:15pm
Arrived back home @ 4:30pm
Started cooking dinner @ 5:00pm
Ate dinner @ 6pm (Chicken Helper, mashed potatoes, and corn, Sprite)
Nothing to eat after 7pm

My cold started getting worse just after dinner - had trouble sleeping.

TODAY: so far
Woke up @ 6:30am
I have had 20 oz of H2O
Been on computer filling out my personal journal and creating new food journal.
Checked emails - and including this message into my journal.

I am going to get off now and lay down for a little while...I don't feel good at all.

I love tacos because even though I am utterly hopeless in the kitchen, even I cant mess those up! What taco mix/sauce do you use (if any)? I like Old El Paso. Havent made them in forever cuz I cant eat just one!

I just use any type of Taco Seasoning when I brown the ground beef. Usually I think it is McCormick Taco Seasoning.

I eat Pace Picante Sauce - or the Plain Taco Sauce.

The taco seasoning I use in my meat is whatever is the cheapest.

Finishing up 2/15/06

Well...I posted earlier for part of my day...

I had Special K cereal for lunch today.
I didn't eat any snacks b/c I was wanting to snack on cookies when my kids got home from school...I had a sweet tooth.
For dinner I had chicken breast in romaine lettuce w/tomatoes, pickles, cheese and picante sauce. I was a delicious sandwich but it was very wet. lol

I had 6 chocolate chip cookies...I had trouble stopping but I did when I knew that I needed to. The cookies were the most calories out of the day but I was still under the recommended number of calories for a day.

I did take some of your advice - I rested today. I took a nap today and will be going to bed early. I didn't exercise today b/c I felt bad all day - I don't even regret not exercising today. I needed to rest.

My goals for tomorrow are to exercise, drinks lots of water, eat healthy and try to stay away from sweets. I will be going to weigh myself - I hope to get good results. I will keep you informed.
