Sounds like you need to slow down a bit. It is good that you are noticing when something is not right - be careful! Take it easy and eat something! 1000 calories just doesn't seem to be enough for anybody.

Today has been a great day...boring but good. I have been in here catching up from missing the past couple of days. I worked out to my new video this morning - loved it. The video is Walk Away the Pounds (Walk & Kick)...30 min. I also worked out this afternoon to it. I have had celery and peanut butter - with lots of water today. I am wanting to eat a burrito tonight so I am watching my calories through the day. I will be out of the house this evening around dinner time so I will need something fast.

Husband is doing okay today - nauseated from the medicine but pain is minimal.

Today has been a good day.
Woke up: 7:45am
Exercised: 8:00 - 8:35am
Ate breakfast (Weight Control Oatmeal): 9:00am
Started running errands after I got dressed and ready - took off about 10AM
Ate lunch (McD's hamburger/about 10 fries) - shared a meal with my son
Came home to take care of hubby.
In a little while I have to go do some more running around (errands).

I was pretty proud of myself yesterday - I worked out to my new video twice and felt good. I worked out this morning - felt good afterwards! I will be preparing dinner in a little while - I will be using turkey burger in our hamburger helper today. I need to cook it up! Can't wait to try it out. I will be going grocery shopping again Monday - can't wait to get to the store again.

So far today I have had 40 oz of water...I need to kick it up - I have a pretty sore throat today and it is difficult to swallow anything.

Talking Hi

Hello Patty,

It is really great to hear that you have such a positive support system at home. That right there is half the battle. Dont you just love Turkey Burgers? Somebody said something about using lettuce instead of buns. Great idea. Lettuce can save excess calories on taco shells and wraps as well. Keep up the great work!

Great job today Patty!! I'm so glad that you like your new video.

I haven't done very well on drinking my water today. It's always easier for me to drink it during the week while I'm work. Seems like on the weekends I get to busy and forget all about it.

I hope you enjoyed your turkey helper.

That was me that talked about the lettuce. In fact, that is what I had for dinner tonight! I just added some seasoning to the ground turkey and formed it into 4 big patties. I cooked them in a skillet until done. (They cooked up fast!) While they were cooking I seperated and washed the Bibb lettuce (romaine leaves work well too) and sliced some tomatoes. When the patties were ready I put some fat free cheese on top and then cut them in half so they would fit better in the lettuce, I put a tsp. of salsa on each one and a tomato slice. This was enough to feed 3-4 people easily. I like the Bibb lettuce because you can wrap it up real good and the salsa will not leak out, it was yummy. Once again my 11 yr old son gave it both thumbs up.

Talking Mmmm Turkey

Hi Patty,

So is the verdict in on the turkey burgers? Do you buy the straight ground turkey or the pre-seasoned? I like both. But I am sure the unflavored ones are much better for you. But both choices are better than a hamburger. Have you tried turkey tacos yet? I hate cooking, but the ground turkey is so easy and satisfying. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Have a great day and I hope your sore throat is gone!

Elizabeth - surprisingly I didn't like it too much...but then again - I am one who has to have lots of sugar and lots of milk included in my oatmeal. I will be giving it another try b/c it kept me full most of the morning.
