Good job Elizabeth! I notice here you mentioned that you were hungry - how did you not become hungry through the day on Sunday? Was it because you were on the internet and it kept you from being bored?

I know it is not the "healthy" way to go, but sometimes I get so busy on the weekends and it happens accidentally. I forgot to eat lunch and then I knew I needed to go workout and by the time I did that it was nearing dinner time so I didn't want to eat that close to dinner. I really wasn't hungry because I stayed so busy.

Journal Tuesday 2-7

Woke up at 5:30am, had a cup of coffee before leaving the house.
Breakfast 8am-Oatmeal 160 cal.
Lunch 11:15am-spinach, tom. tuna and vinegarette 188 cal.
Dinner 5:30pm-Fish Packet (salmon and frozen veggies baked in a tin foil packet) 300 cal.
Drank all of my water for the day and then some.

Exercise-walked with my students at recess 15 min.
6pm Pilates 30 min. Circuit at gym 40 min. 10 min. on the treadmill when I got home-total 1 hour 35 min.

Did feel a little hungry after my workout, but I did not want to eat after 7 pm. Stayed busy getting ready for tomorrow so I got through it.

I am still trying to get my workout/dinner/bedtime all on track. I really need to be getting that 8 hrs. of sleep but can never turn my mind off at the end of the day. I like eating early but it still makes my feel blah if I eat before I workout. I am going to have to ponder this some more.

Going to bed about 11:30 pm

Journal 2-8 Wednesday

Woke up at 5:45am
Drank 1 cup of coffee before leaving the house.
8am-Oatmeal
11:15am-3/4 Cup fat free cottage cheese with pineapple
3pm-spinach and tomato with tuna
6pm-Turkey wing with steamed green beans
7pm 1 1/2 oz smoked salmon
Total calories 1070
I am glad I added the 2 snacks, I had more energy and I know that I really should be eating @ 1200 calories each day in order to be a healthier more efficient fat burning machine-lol

Exercise-walked 20 min with my students
40 min on treadmill

Drank all of my water and then some.

I meant to get to bed at 9pm but of course turned on my computer. I am glad I did though because I went into the chat room and had a great chat and got to know some people better. Puts me in good spirits for tomorrow!

Thanks Patty Ann! The snacks have definitely helped. I am eating earlier and getting more sleep too. My body already feels more rejuvenated and I am hoping to see a weight loss when I weigh in on Monday at school.

Talking Great job

It sounds like you are kicking butt at the gym! Do you work out with a friend or go it alone? I used to do the circuit alone at my women's gym, but since joining a huge co-ed one, I dont lift at all and just hit the treadmill. Some of those body builder looking guys are really intimidating!! Do you have a favorite machine?

My gym is called Physfit, it is a lot like Curves. It is just women, which at this poing I really like. It is circuit training, and you do each station for 30 seconds, the machine and then a jogging station, on and on until you do the loop 3 times. I have been doing each station 60 seconds and going around twice, it is a much better workout. My gym also offers ab and Pilates classes. My friend belongs too, but it seems like the only time our schedules mesh is on Sundays. I also do the treadmill at home, and each time I get on it, I find that I am able to do more and more. Today I stayed on it for an hour! I am in a weightloss competition that ends March 10th, so I am trying to do more cardio than anything so that I can drop a lot of weight. After the competition I will keep working on the weight loss but also focus on toning everything up. I love the ab machine at my gym, it is like doing a sitting crunch.

Elizabeth's Journal 2-11

I know I skipped a couple of days, that is because I crashed and burned. Even though I upped my calories starting Thursday, I was really draggin' butt. I worked out, but not my usual hr-hr 1/2. I went to bed early each night though and got some great sleep. I feel sooo much better now. I woke up early this morning and drank coffee and read (it was very relaxing.) Then I got up and hit the treadmill, I stayed on it for 1 hr., I couldn't believe it! Then I had some steamed veggies for lunch. I had to go to the grocery store but I also decided to go shopping and try on some clothes. I could tell that I have lost inches and my clothes have been getting super baggy. Truth be known they were a little baggy to start, I never bought anything form fitting. I felt very optimistic and wanted to see if I could fit into a size 14. Like a dream, everything was fitting! That has never happened to me before in a store. Usually I haven't liked the size 18's that I used to try on. Man, I was so excited. I ended up spending a lot of money on new clothes. I even bought a really cute skirt and shirt that is very dressy and stylish to wear this week when my 5th grade students take their class picture. Now I am inspired to throw out all of the fat clothes in my closet (I am never going back there.) For dinner I made turkey bugers with lettuce instead of buns. For a snack I had fat free jello with fat free whipped topping.
