Hey from Buffalo :)

Hi everyone...

I'm Gia from Cheektowaga, NY (near Buffalo). I enjoy the Biggest Loser very much - I'm looking forward to the new season!!

Im currently on Weight Watchers as lost 35#, however, once we went on our vacations (Oct - Disney Cruise & Nov - NYC) I fell off the wagon and gained back 15#. I just sold our elliptical (bothered my knees) and we purchased a treadmill yesterday. I also have the Biggest Loser DVD. So starting on Friday (my start day for Weight Watchers) Ill be back on the wagon and will be kickin' ass again. Its funny, I feel the aches and pains again that were gone when I lost the 35#. I hate the way I feel - and that was my motivation to start up again. Im glad I found this Forum....looks like a good place to find some extra support!

Ill be keeping everyone posted on how Im doing!

Take care - look forward to chatting with everyone again soon!
Gia

Hi Gia, welcome to the forums! Don't you just love those vacations, they mess you up every time I remember Pete from this past season said now when him and his wife go on vacation it's about the adventure and not the food. That was like a light bulb that went off in my head because that has always been my favorite part of vacationing the food. The next vacation i take I'm going to try it his way and see how it goes. Anyway I'm sure you will have no problem getting right back on track and I am so glad you joined the forums

Hi Beth -

Thanks for the welcome.....

I actually did good on my vacation - went on the Disney Cruise, and when we got back I actually took off a pound! I was just happy not to gain anything, especially being on a cruise. It was my lazy ass that made me gain once we got back and not the actual vacation - that is the sad part!

But no more! I want to kick butt like they all did on Season 2 - they really inspired me!

Cruise..

It wasn't that hard to be good on the cruise...it helps that the meal are portioned - yes you can have more than one appetizer, dessert etc. but the regular portions are a perfect size! Plus I think all the walking we did on the ship as well as at the ports helped out. I made the effort not to pig out, but I had dessert every night, but there were nights I didn't finish them. I think that helped!

We are planning another cruise in Oct 2007 - so my goal is to lose more before the cruise than I did before this last one.

Gia, I still haven't been able to locate the reviews on the BL DVD. Do you like it? Is it easy for beginners? Please tell us a little more about it...

Other than the elliptical bothering your knees did you like it? I am looking into buying one soon. At this time the only thing I am doing is walking - outdoors - I am wanting the elliptical b/c when it is freezing outside (like it is today) I can't walk...I walk with my little one. I have a treadmill but it is in storage b/c our apartment is too small for it - it is a large one.

My knees are fine - would you recommend the elliptical?
