Wassup!

I am from Washington DC and started watching the biggest loser the second year. Probably due to the fact that I thought this show was going to be demeaning to overweight people. I was surprised to see it was very motivating and exciting to see that once you took control of your life things could happen. After this season's shows I decided to take my weight into my own hands. I am 44 years old, happily marriage with 3 kids. Weight has been a problem for me all of my life. 2 weeks ago I weighed 246 lbs. I now weigh 233 lbs. The problem I am experiencing is getting started with an exercise routine. I started parking my car further and walking up the stairs in my place of employment. That is just a start, I need to step of my game. I love to dance but don't seem to get around to it due to school, ministry, work and family. Any ideas?

Hi Kcw and welcome to the site! I hope you find support and answers here. It sounds like you have a very busy schedule and I know it is hard to find the time to work out. Can you split it up during the day? Maybe go for a ten minute walk three times a day? At my work we started bringing our lunch and then taking our lunch break to go walking. If you can spare a night maybe you and your spouse can take a dance class.

Welcome Kcw! What kind of exercise would you (and could you) do and stick to?

I thought the show was going to make fun of overweight people - - I'm glad I decided to watch.
It's hard to fit in exercise with a nusy schedule... for me I had to make a decision to get up earlier. Or I combine the tw0 - like I ride my excercise bike while reading my Bible or doing wrork I brought home for the day. Good luck finding something that works for you!

Since I bought my treadmill (a cheap one ) I can't find a good excuse not to exercise every night. I do other things as well, but I will no longer have an excuse to not get on the treadmill at some point during the day.
