Hi !
I was looking for some info on the Aussie Biggest Loser and found this site.
It will be great to read the recaps.

I applied for the show, but now I'm so pleased I didn't get in. I think the contestants are being humiliated in this show. Anyway, I'll keep watching.

I'll have a look around the board and get to know you all.

I wish we could watch the Aussie BL but I have read the recaps on www.the-biggest-loser.com. The show is five nights a week right? Why do you think the contestants are being humiliated? Look forward to chatting with you more

Hi Cookie, Welcome to the boards. I woudl be curious to see if there is any differece in the Australian than the US show. I thought, before watching the show, that it was really going to embarrass overweight people... but in fact I think it was very motivations and inspirational to so many people. Hope you end up finding out the same with your BL

How are they being humiliated though? I find the work they are doing on that show to be incredible and very inspiring.

Thanks for the welcomes.
I thought it was degrading that they had to wear t-shirts with their name and weight (ie Tracy 110kg ) etc. But after they were put in teams they are just wearing either blue or red coloured shirts .
This series also seems to be focusing a lot more on the "emotional" and there is lots of crying going on. It's a bit overdone.

Still we've only had two eps so a long way to go.

Yes, the show is on five nights a week. The first ep was an hour long, but the usual format will be Mon-Fri 7.00pm to 7.30pm.

Hi Cookie and welcome to the forum! Wow, only 30 minute episodes? That is a big change. They never wore their weights on their shirts in the U.S., but of course we all know their weights once they weigh in anyway. Maybe it helped them really wake up and realize "yes, I really do weigh THIS much" I knew I was always big, but about had heart failure when I realized I was 216 last June-eek!
