Hi Toocute and welcome to the forum! My doctor also told me to get more iron, she recommended lots of green leafy stuff. So I substituted baby spinach for lettuce in my salads. Being an emotional eater is tough, but I found that once I changed my overall diet, when I want something, I will go grab a yogurt or a piece of fruit. If you are needing that feeling of decadence and indulgence to satisfy your emotion, I would suggest some fat free chocolate pudding with Cool Whip free on it. Taste very yummy. Also Skinny Cow ice cream is awesome. The thing that allowed me to make the most change in my diet and exercise is writing everything down in a journal. I started out with a spiral notebook, and once my changes became a habit, then I started typing things down in my forum journal. The notebook was helpful at first because it was very concrete, and I could look back at it each day and carry it with me. The forum journal is great because you get lots of feedback and advice on how you have done. Good luck!

Elizabeth, how is the extra iron working out for you? Do you know if brocolli has iron? I guess I could check Missy's link for that, couldn't I?
