Hi,Ive been following America and Australias Biggest Loser programmes and i love them.They are so inspiring,the trouble is i tend to sit and eat while watching them
Im 49 years old and and married.I have seven children aged from 30 down to 14.As most are grown up now i have time to do something about myself and would love to talk to anyone who is starting the journey like me.i am a compulsive eater of chocolate and cake and am trying hard to beat the addiction.Any advice very welcome.Im 5feet 2inches tall and weigh about 186lbs.

I am 49 also (for a few more days) and it was very important to me to not take the weight from the past decade into the next one. Also, my cholesterol was extremely high on my last checkup. Chocolate is my biggest weakness and I have to really commit myself to curb my urges. I still eat chocolate, but instead of having 6 cookies, I'll stick to two. I also reduce the amount of chocolate ice cream I eat. If I over indulge, I commit myself to doing the extra effort to eliminate those calories.

Hi! I am English too, (although I'm currently living in the USA). Great to see another Brit on the site, I'm originally from Lancashire and married a American 4 years ago so moved over.
I'm a compulsive eater and have ditched all the diets and pills - they truly just set you up to fail. I now am a big believer in the 12 steps as a way to freedom from compulsive overeating - in my eyes its an eating disorder as serious as any other. Anyway, hope to see more of your posts!
