having an accountability partner to keep you on track is a tremendous advantage. As for working out, if it's important enough, you won't find the time, but rather you will make the time.
I found that if I put my workout time on my task list for the day, I was more apt to do it just so I could cross it off. If I didn't get to it that day, it went on the next day's list. Start small, you don't have to hit it 5 days a week. The key is to just start. You can do it!
