New

Just dropping in to say Hello to everyone. As you might already know I am new to the forums. Alittle bit about myself is that I have always been on the chucky side and hit my heaviest at 309lbs when I was at the lowest point in my life...I hit rock bottom so the only way was to up from there. I made a promise to myself that I would never go back and have since lost a total of 54lbs the old fashion way of diet and exercise. I have since come to a plateau in my weight loss that I can't seem to loss anymore. I wanted to see by chance if anyone had any helpful hints to kick start my weight loss again.

I can't offer much advice here, because I have had problems with plateaus as well. All I can suggest (as what people have suggested to me) is to change your workouts completely to give your body a new challenge, change up your diet...try something new. Try a new exercise that is out of your comfort zone, drink more water, get more sleep.

that is great advice Missy.

Percephanie remember this. Rome wasn't built in a day. But it was built.

If losing weight was easy, everyone would do it. This will be the most rewarding thing you will do in your entire life to this point.

And being the anal guy that I am, I tend to do a lot of research on weight loss topics and here is a great article on Oprah's website on Plateaus.

I feel bad because Persephanie posted over a month ago! I can only speak for myself, but when I stop in I tend to only check out the journal section anymore. Anyway, I hope you check back in with us and start a journal. As you can see, there's lots of support and advice out there.
