I'm new too

Hi,

I'm new too so I can't give any info other than what I have read from other writers, but I guess we are all similar in our quest to live healthy, active, fulfilling lives and for most of us, that includes eating right and exercising. Now, we all have different body types and fitness levels but the other common ground I hope to find here is that everyone is encouraging and supportive of our quest.

I look forward to reading many great success stories in this forum.

Hello, and welcome. I feel bad about welcoming you to a site that has so little activity at the moment, but I also want to tell you how great it can be once you get more people posting on a regular basis.
It's very slow now, but we do get people who go away for awhile, and then come back.
We really get to know each other here, and when someone does go away, they are missed.
There used to be so many regular posters here, that it was hard to keep up just reading everyone's journal, let alone responding to them all. But that was a nice problem to have. Sometimes you only have time to post in your own journal, and sometimes you have time to share knowledge, support and encourage others. It's all good!
There are people who post here that have so much knowledge to share. They have worked with trainers and some even are certified trainers. But the key here is for people to post.
The journal section here has always been the most active. But in the past, all other areas have seen action too. The recipes were great as were the exercise questions, answers, and exercise logs.
I'm not quite sure if we can breathe new life back into this site or not. We get new members, but they don't seem to stick with it. Old regulars have either moved on to other sites, have given up, or just don't want to post anymore.
I don't want to sound negative, but I think the only way to save this site is to recruit new members. This site really and truly used to be amazing. I would love to see it grow back into that. It was and I hope it still can be a great place to share successes, failures, frustrations, and pretty much anything you want.
So please start a journal. You don't have to post every day. But if you start one, you'll get some feedback. And feel free to give feedback to anyone else who has a journal.
We are all in this together. I know there are lots of weight loss web sites and lots of forums like this, but some of them are way too big and you really don't get to know anyone. It's very different here. But I do think we need to have more activity and postings in order for this site to start thriving again.
Best of luck to you both and I look forward to hearing more from you!
Carol

Just wanted to welcome you to the site...it's been a bit slow lately, but I'm glad to see people are still joining. I encourage you to be active on the site and I guarantee you will find a lot of support. If it wasn't for this site, I wouldn't have come as far as I have in my own weight loss journey.
