Arrow I really need some advice here...

Hello, there! I am brand new to this board and I really want to get myself into a healthy state. I am 44 years old, female, mother of 4. I did weigh 419 pounds but after 16 weeks at WW, I am now 394 pounds. What I need help with is, even though I have lost some weight, I still feel so tried still, no energy at all. I do a multivitamin everyday. I want to exercise and build up my strength, but as soon as I really start to do a little walking, I start to sweat really bad, I feel Like I am going to pass out, and throw up! I have to sit down drink some water, cool off and go again. Most of the time I am just praying to make it home, cause I am afraid when I get that feeling, I have no control over that and I hate it! If anyone has any advice on how to help me stop feeling that way please respond. I need all the help I can get. Thank you so much for your time and thoughts!

Hi, welcome, and congratulations on your weight loss! And good for you for starting to get out and walk! I hope you will find some good support here. I sure have, although it's been really quiet lately.

Have you seen your doctor since you started losing weight and started doing some exercise? It might be a good idea to make sure there's nothing going on that would account for the symptoms you're experiencing.

Maybe it will just take some time to build up some strength and feel better while you're walking. You might also try some stationary exercise--doing some stretches, a little weight lifting (you can even start with just lifting a couple of cans of soup!), a yoga DVD, etc.

How old are your kids? Are there some fun physical things you could do with them? I personally think that if you haven't done anything physical for a while, anything that will get you moving is good--a little dancing, gardening, whatever you can do.

There are a couple of forum members here who are either personal trainers or are training to be personal trainers. I bet they'll have some good advice for you!

Sue

if you have a pool near you swimming is great exercise for people such as yourself. The water supports you and you can go as fast or slow as you like. Swim as many laps as you can and then next time try to beat that number.

As FrugalSue mentioned about personal trainers, I'm one of them now and I can offer a full exercise program tailored to the individual.

You are doing great!
Remember small steps, even if it is to the end of the driveway and back. These steps will build upon each other and before you know it you will be doing a couple of miles!

You can do it!!!
