Greetings all BL fans! New member here!

Hello all BL fans!

My name is Lana. The Biggest Loser has been great motivation as well as source of ideas. I’m turning 31 in a couple of days and I feel that it is time get serious about losing weight. My current weight is about 311 at home and 308 in Dr. office.

I’m taking Phentermine 37.5mg with Dr’s supervision and lost 6 lb’s last month.

I do not have any life threatening illnesses, and I want to keep it that way! I do have few inconvenient and unpleasant limitations, like most overweight people: backache, sciatica, and hyperglycemia. I must overcome and get rid of them, and get fit and healthy.

I eat low carb now for about 8 month, before that I was vegetarian for 3 years.
I eat eggs and coffee for breakfast, soup or salad with chicken for lunch and salad or low carb pasta with chicken or fish for supper.

I love sweets, I’m on a constant hunt for low carb or sugar free chocolate or candy. It is hard for me to limit fruits, so I try to eat them before I go swimming, so I use up all that sugar. I work out seldom, I know I need to do it more often. I do not smoke and drink occasionally.

The trouble is I can’t follow routine, in any thing. So it is hard to stick to strict diet or exercise plan.

I tried Weight Watchers it was not very helpful. I tried all sorts of diets, after a week I’m done, just can’t do it.

I want to loose 30 lb’s in 3 month. I have a bet with my best friend, If I can do it she pays for my plane ticket to Hawaii.

My long term goal is to get to size 14 and be healthy and fit.

Thank you for your time and future support!

Welcome to the boards! I don't really have much advice at the time because I've been stuck myself as far as weight loss goes, but I've cut out all the little things that add up such as sugar, ketchups, juices, salt, fatty salad dressings, butters, margarines, mayo...I've taken all those things out of my diet. I could never last on a low carb diet, I love my carbs way too much and if I don't eat them I always feel hungry. I do stick to flax whole grains and whole wheat carbs though. I have also heard that it's best to have your carbs early in the day if you want them, because you can use the rest of the day to burn them off.

I've replaced most of my drinks with water and I also have caffeine free diet coke. I'm at the gym 3 days a week and on the off days I go out running.

Hopefully you can find something that works for you, welcome again
