Hi Amy, it's really great to have you here. I left a response to your pm in your mailbox as well. Losing weight can be done, it's just really hard when you go on a fad diet, which are very popular. It has to be something you can stick with long-term for the rest of your life. I don't eat any of that low carb crap...I need a diet that is realistic...and I love my carbs.
Start off by eating 6 small meals a day about every 2-3 hours apart, this will help speed up your metabolism and help burn off more fat.
Eat plenty of dark green vegetables and have 2-3 servings of fruit. I generally eat my fruits and carbs earlier in the day because it's easier to burn them off throughout the day. Whole grains are good, I usually stick to flax whole grain bread or bagels, whole grain pasta etc. Whole grain digests more quickly than the "white" and usually the "white" ends up being stored as fat when you don't digest it.
Get plenty of water.
Try to get at least 30 min of cardio in each day and add strength toning/weight lifting to your routine to tone up. By lifting weights, you will decrease your chances of getting that saggy skin.
Those are a few starter pointers, if you need anything at all, please don't hesitate to toss another email my way
