Talking The Myth Behind Women Bulking from Weights

A lot of women have a fear of lifting weights because they don't want to bulk up with muscles and look like a man...I have discussed this with my trainer before and found an article online that pretty much explained it the same way my trainer did to me....

so here ya go...

I'm sorry -- I didn't even go to the link, but I am now a firm believer in strength training. Even to get that 'body builder' look, that some of these women get, I think you have to train a lot harder, and probably differently than most of us would, who just want to get stronger.
I can't stand the stick person look. You know what I mean -- people who's arms look like you could snap them in two, and who's legs don't even look like they could support a fly, let alone a whole person.
Long lean muscle looks great, and women just don't have the right hormones to bulk up like men do.
There are almost too many benefits to lifting, than you can count. It's just so good for you --- for everyone. Think of your future, and build that muscle now -- it's one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Wow, that is a great article... I always used to fear this happening. But it makes sence why it wouldn't... I just have a very solid muscle base as it is, I worry working on them will only make them grow.

Thanks for sharing the article. I have never worried about this cause I wouldn't mind having some muscle definition and know I will probably never train hard enough to bulk up if it was possible

Just wondering what type of weight training you do?

I'm not sure how to use all of the equipment at the gym, so i usually just stick to the basics.
