21 Day Challenge III

The challenge for this month is Yoga. I ordered YogaNow over a week ago and am still waiting to receive it. I can make do until then. This may be my last challenge for a bit because I exercise so much as it is that it is difficult to complete the challenge exercise in addition to exercise I am already doing. We shall see. I will not have to make that decision until next month.

Day 1
I have an exercise mat that has 12 yoga poses imprinted on it and you are supposed to go through the 12 poses three times. That was my routine yesterday. Today I have my yoga class at 4:45pm.

Happy to hear that you will be starting your Yoga class. Instead of having a workout for your 21 day challenge make it to where you are sure to have 20 minutes to yourself for relaxation each day. This can be good for you!

May's 21 day challenge

I am upset b/c I was going to jump rope each day for my 21 day challenge but have not gotten the jump rope yet. I don't really want to start my 21 day challenge late so I changed it for the month.

Day 1 - 4 minutes of crunches (variety)...2 minutes of side leg lifts (each leg)...this was tough - my hips really felt it.

I will do this in addition to my workouts each day.

Day 2
Yesterday would have been my third time going to Yoga class. I didn't make it yesterday. I will have to make up the class before it ends. I did the 12 yoga poses at home 3 times again as my routine. My YogaNow is on its way now. That's good. There are two 10 minute routines which will really help me on those days where I have exercise planned already.

Talking Day 2 & 3

I have done my challenge for the last two days. 4 minutes - crunches (variety)....2 minutes each leg (side leg lifts). I can really feel this in my hips - WHEW! By the time our challenge is over this month I better notice a difference in my hips and stomach.

WHEW! THE BURN - THE BURN! I feel great when my 8 minutes is up.

Day 4

Another day has passed - I have completed my challenge today...whew - the burn is CRAZY HOT! Will be excited to see the results at the end of this challenge.

Days 3,4,5 & 6
On day 3 I tried the Yoga CD you get from McDonald's when you order a premimum salad and drink. It was a little different because "Maya" is a virtual trainer. The dvd says it is a 15 minute workout and you think it is one workout but they give you options to allow you to customize your workout. It will take a little bit to get used to but I will do it again throughout this challenge. On days 4-6 I did the 12 poses again. My YogaNow is here but stuck at the condo office because of their inconvenient office times. I hope to be able to pick up my stuff this week. My new water shoes are there too. I am excited about those too.

Talking Day 5 - 8

Day 5 - I completed my challenge with lots of burning.
Day 6 - I missed this day...not sure why.
Day 7 - I completed my challenge with more burning...whew! My husband added weights to my ankles while I did the leg lifts - OMG...that killed me. LOL It was only 3 lbs, too.

I will be doing front leg lifts with the weights tonight instead of the side leg lifts. The burning I have in my abs feels really good - doesn't hurt...just burns. When I do the leg lifts my hips and butt hurt so bad...it is tough to complete 2 minutes each leg.

Glad to hear that you are doing the yoga...I couldn't stick with yoga...didn't like it at all.

Day 7, 8, & 9
On Days 7 & 8 I did the 12 poses. I am hoping to pick up my YogaNow from the office today. Yesterday I went to my yoga class. I tell you although it is Level 1 it is difficult. I am planning to take Gentle Yoga to make up for the class I missed and another that I know I will miss. I wonder what the difference may be. I will let you know.

Day 8 & 9

Day 8 - I didn't add the weights when I did my leg lifts...I still get such a burning sensation doing them for 2 minutes. Although, I have added front leg lifts to the side leg lifts. I did my 4 minutes of variety crunches.

Day 9 - Same thing as Day 8...burning burning burning!
