Talking T'ai Chi

Oh my goodness - I just tried a new workout and I LOVE IT!

I will be starting AM T'ai Chi/Beginners T'ai Chi tomorrow morning. I will be starting my mornings out with AM T'ai Chi/Beginners T'ai Chi w/David Dorion-Ross- then 3 miles with Leslie Sanson. I plan to do T'ai Chi while my kids are still sleeping in the mornings - I will be getting up @ 6am instead of 6:30am. I am really excited to get my new workouts started. I did some of it today and really enjoyed it...I feel great and very energized.

Has anyone ever tried T'ai Chi? If not...you should really look into it. I am trying to talk to my husband into doing it with me...I think he will like it.

It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO relaxing and comfortable! Glad that I found something I really enjoy! I think this will be my next 21 day challenge.

Hope your tai-chi exercise is doing you well.

It's a great source of exercise. It teaches you how to breath while your exercising.

Hope you can talk your hubby into working out with you. He may get into it. Especially if you bring up the fact in involves martial arts.

I've been studying karate for 2 years and tai-chi for around 6 months. And I really enjoy both.

I give you a great breathing exercise...sit with your legs cross. Take deep study breaths. In through nose and out through mouth. Do this around 100 times. Also try this while listening to some relaxing music. And you'll see a interesting increase of energy and strength. Repeat all you want.

I enjoy doing Ti Chi and Kung Fu kata. Both help you to focus on channeling life (Chi) energy, balance, and staying limber. Also an excellent form of self defence.

Plants are born tender and pliant;
dead, they are brittle and dry.

Whoever is soft and yielding
is a disciple of life.

The forms are both are very wonderful. Not many people realize the self-defense aspect of both. The bunkai (or hidden meaning) isn't taught by many instructors.

Also the Bushido isn't either. Or code of conduct. It's a path that I follow. 7 guiding principles I live by. You can read them on my blog if you like:
