You are right Pilates is a tough workout but the benefits are worth it. I am happy that you are sticking with it. My legs go up during the roll up too. My boyfriend is generally not here when I exercise so I have no one to hold my feet (lucky you). So it has gotten easier and my legs are not fully flat but are closer to the floor as days pass. I have scolosis too so I am real careful with my back. For example I don't lift my head and shoulders off the ground yet. Maybe starting on Wednesday after I have been doing it for a week. Whew..I already think it is challenging when I add that element to it will take it up another level.

Day Four & Five
Saturday was a busy day for me so I didn't get a chance to post. I did Pilates in the early morning as usual. I was able to roll like a ball all 6 times. I originally thought it was 5 but it is six. I thought it was a fluke and I wouldn't be able to do it today again but I was. So I've made it through five days so far and am very happy. I am thinking of possibly doing different 21 day challenges each month until I reach my goal weight. I will get back to you on that one.

Day Six
I'm not feeling well today but did complete my Pilates. Almost at a week. Almost a 1/3 of the way there. So far only the workout itself has been challenging. Incoporating it in my schedule has not.

Day Seven
I did Pilates about 30 minutes ago. Seven days down. Yeah!!! Fourteen more to go. 1/3 of the way there. I am pretty confident that I will complete this challenge and I know I will have lost inches too. Tomorrow I will actually start lifting my head and shoulders off the floor and that will increase the challenge. I am very careful with my back and I feel okay to move to the next level now. I hope my back feels the same way I do.

I am thinking my challenge in April will be to walk everyday for a minimum of 30 minutes. That can either be on my treadmill or outside depending on the weather.

72butterfly,
You are doing great!! Thanks for the motivation to get off my butt and start a challenge of my own.
I have some pilates dvds at home that I haven't tried. I am going to try the 1st one tonight.

Day Eight
Pilates completed about an hour ago. The difference between Day One and Day Eight:

Can "roll like a ball" which I was unable to do on Day One

Can "roll up" which I could not do on Day One either and my legs are staying closer to the ground rather than flying up in the air

Today was the 1st day I lifted my head and shoulders off the floor for exercises like the hundred, straight leg, etc rather than lying flat.

The two other Fit Club members are doing the challenge also. One is on Day Eight like I am and the other on Day Four because she started later.

Day Nine
I did the Pilates today but wasn't as focused as I usually am. I will do better tomorrow. My mom got her Pilates Circle workout today and she said she was sweating. You generally don't sweat with Pilates, at least I don't, so I know that will be great. I am looking forward to purchasing a set for myself once I complete this challenge.

I don't remember if I have mentioned - I have thorasic scholiosis...I have always gone off to my left side while going up into a sit up. Now...that I have been doing pilates for 10 days I can do a roll up without my feel flying in the air. I am doing very good - I am proud of myself for sticking with it. I can't believe that I can do it without someone holding my feet. My feet come up off the floor maybe an inch if that. Glad to hear that you are doing better with the roll ups, too.
