More exercises for weight loss?

I am going to do 60 push ups each night from now on. I really need to lose some weight but I`d like to do other exercises besides push ups. Any ideas? I want to lose weight quickly!!!

Hey!

here’s what’s helped me lose weight: I do long walks, I`m on a diet created by a dietitian, I use the stairs instead of the elevator, but the most important is to count the calories that you eat and the calories that you burn. I always track my calories with a calorie counter. I use the one from http://www.projectweightloss.com cause it’s free and they also have interesting diet tips. If you can’t work out all by yourself ask a trainer for some help. Good luck!

pushups won't really do anything in terms of overall weight loss...it will strengthen your chest muscles...but in terms of fat loss you'll want to incorporate some kind of cardio like running or walking on a treadmill or using ellipticals, stationary bike etc...aerobics. Lifting weights will help you tone those muscles...the more muscle you have on your body, the faster you can burn fat. It's good to do a combo of both cardio and weights. Doing push ups and situps are good as long as you are doing something cardio oriented with it.

Also....food is the #1 thing you should make a change to...exercise comes second to cleaning up your diet.
