Talking Argghhh to be female!

Any ideas on how to make a very large chest go away? It hurts to run and makes me look 100 times heavier than I am. I have lost weight everywhere but there!

Sorry, I can't be much help for you here....I'm a 36 C and the more weight I lose the smaller they're getting.

I always heard that you could lose weight in the chest area, maybe it just hasn't happened for you yet but it will start coming off soon. I know I always lose in my stomach first before I lose in my real problem spots like hips and thighs.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Carrie, I feel your pain. I'm a 44DD and I absolutely hate doing any type of jumping exercises cause every with a great support bra the girls just want to jump with me LOL
I agree with the wweights and building the muscles around that area? Maybe doing a butterfly with free weights would help - that's what someone suggested to me

Hey there..I am a 42D and lifting weights that work your chest muscles should help make them smaller and firmer. Try the chest press, the pectoral fly machine, those butterfly free weights might help too...also make sure you are doing your regular cardio for at least 30 minutes a day at your target heart rate.

Talking Hi Widdle

So glad to hear that somebody else feels my pain!! I hate running at the gym because when you have a huge chest all the guys stare. I have yet to find a running bra that doesnt give me what a friend refers to as, (una-boob), and can keep my chest put. I know the harder I run, the more calories I burn, but it drives my back nuts. I love to run, but this is humiliating...and they make me look 30 lbs heavier. Let me know if any of you have any success shrinking the "girls." Thanks for all the replies.

Carrie, while this may sound odd, I wear my usual "Granny Bra" (36dd makes it darn near impossible for the cute bra's.) and then I put on two sports bras. It's actually pretty comfortable, and prevents them from...well ya know.
As for them getting smaller....I was a size 7 with 36dd. They didn't get bigger, nor did they get smaller. They have always been in the way.
Hope this helps you a little.

My cousin had to deal with the same issue. She lost a lot of weight but her breasts didn't go down in size. At this time she has put on some of the weight she lost and her breasts are just huge. She also has back problems..it is sad to see that you are doing everything possible but nothing works. I would suggest what some of the others have said about butterfly techniques. I hope this works for you. Best of luck.

I don't even know my true bra size...I just went to try some on the other day and a 44dd was too tight. Every bra is different. The bras that I have now are old and don't hold anything up. I had my husband measure me for the first time yesterday and it said that my chest was 47" around.

My husband actually told me the other day that I shouldn't have to worry about my boobs getting smaller cause I "come from a family of boobs!"
He'll be dissapointed to know that I want them smaller
