stability ball

Hellooooo....... hellloooo........ hellooooooooo.........
Anyone ever use one of these? How do you like them? I've seen some that are weighted and supposed to stay put. Is this a good feature? Some have workout DVD's with them. Other's just have charts. Of course, the difference is the price. Is the DVD and 'stay put' feature worth the extra money, or not really necessary?
Anyone?????? Anyone?????? ( why do I feel like the teacher ( Ben Stein) in Ferris Bueller's day off?)

Hi, muppet.

I'm brand new here, but wanted to say that I do use a stability ball. Grant it, I use it more when I'm sitting at my desk, but I do use it. I basically just do situps and stretching on it inbetween my time on the treadmill. I've seen a few places on the net that offer free advise on how to use the ball...but never got around to printing anything off. My ball came with a guide that is mostly helpful.

Hope you're still around to catch the note....seems kind of quiet on the board before the new season of TBL starts up again.

Best wishes.

they are ok

Making your body stablize will activate more muscle fibres so energy expenditure will be increased. No to the stablizers, they defeat the purpose. get the dvd and try everything. Use it while watching the TV and work on kneeling ontop for balence, when you get good at that, have someone toss you things to catch while balencing in that kneeling position (no scissors please! hehehe) make sure its pumped up fairly hard. ......................................noting the date of post, you may have it already,,yes?
