That makes three of us! There's an ad for an eliptical in Sunday's paper at Sport's Authority - I'll check it out tomorrow.

I can only dream of owning an Elliptical Stepper or Crosstrainer. The ones (at my gym) that I use are LifeFitness. I have had zero problems with them. Very challenging, different levels of difficulty, routines, compatible with Polar Heart Rate Monitors, etc.

I have an elliptical machine and a treadmill. Since buying the elliptical, I never use the treadmill. It's so much better on the joints. I have a NordicTrack CX 938. It's okay..... It has 10 preset programs that are good, but it doesn't let you save any customized programs. That's a big downside for me, but for some that might not matter.

I don't really know which ellipticals are good, but I use a Cybex Arc Crosstrainer everyday for an hour when I'm at the gym. It's really easy on the knees and I find it burns a lot of calories. There are many different program settings to choose from as well.

I own a Proform treadmill. My mom owns a Proform treadmill and elliptical. My mom loves her elliptical. I think you should go to their site, www.proform.com, and take a look. Their prices range and I think you can find the one for you. You can set up a payment plan. They only deliver door to door so keep that in mind. Me and mom are picky and we have no problems with our equipment. What I do say is don't go cheap. I paid $699 for mine but it was on sale. I think the original price was $899 or $999. I think as close to gym quality as you can get is the best bet. You get a better deal than in the store because it is direct from the manufacturer.

What's the difference between and elliptical, and a cross trainer?

Okay so we bought an elliptical! And it was a decent price of $300...I love it except for the computer...On one hand I havn't played with the computer yet so it's a bit early to judge but on the other the few seconds while building my machine that I had the batteries in, I was a bit confused...We'll see how it all works starting tomorrow! Goodbye calories, hello sexy Jayden!

Oh do I envy you...
Have fun! That machine will whip you into shape. I know I began seeing results when I started doing cardio on one of those.
