Juicing

What are people's thoughts about juicing? Does anyone do it? Is it beneficial? I have a hard time getting in my fruits and veggies in on a daily basis and I thought this might be a good way.

I have never juiced. I dont get the point of it, besides I understood that you loose the fibre if you juice which is what makes the fruit and veg so nutritious.
Why not carry fruit around with you, I do.

Around a year ago my hubby and I bought one of those Jack Lalane (or whatever his name is) juicers that they advertise in infomercials. It was good for about a week - we would just anything we could just to use it - apples, oranges, grapes, pinapple, brocolli, tomotoes... etc. It was a pain to clean and we realized we both would rather just just eat out fruits and veggies throughout the day. So it now sits collecting dust in the garage.
Are their benefits to juicing? I really don't know... it didn't work for us

I don't think I would do very well with juicing. I do better eating stuff like that then drinking it. I do good to just drink my water for the day.

Okay...blonde moment here - what is juicing? I have never heard of this before. Is this when you just drink juice and not eat? Or substitute fruits & veggies with juice?

Juicing is substituting the juice for fruits and veggies. And it is supposedly better for you because it doesn't have all the extra stuff that they add to store bought juice. As Widdlecuddles said you would buy a machine to do this and probably the most popular one is the Jack Lalanne one. If it is difficult to clean then it may not be the best for me..but I will still think about it. I really want to get the "5 a day" in and I will need to do some problem solving around that. I do exercise challenges currently maybe I need to start doing some food challenges also. This would be a great one to start with and continue with additional food challenges to add other things into my diet until I feel it is really healthy. Thanks for the input everyone.
