I used to go to fitday.com. After I plugged in all the information, I think it said I was burning over 3000 calories, just living and breathing. Seems like a lot to, me, and it seems like I wouldn't have gained weight, if I was really burning that many calories everyday.
But then I think about how I used to eat. I really do not like counting calories, and I'm certainly not meticulous about it, but I probably did eat more calories than that, when I didn't think about it.
I liked the food logs at this site. They had so many foods already listed, and you could create your own custom foods too. It amazed me how quickly those calories add up.
I haven't been there for awhile. It does take quite a bit of time to log all that stuff in. Especially when you are doing a lot of custom foods. But it's a great way to bring you back to reality. I probably should go back, and check to see that my calories aren't going through the roof again.
I think it's a great site. But some of the features probably aren't 100% accurate. They really can't be, with the little bit of information they have on you. But it does give you a rough idea. So, if that's good enough for you, you might want to check it out.
It's a great way to analyze your diet. It breaks down nutrients, and tells you what you're lacking. I would have liked it if it would have told me where to get some of the nutrients that I was lacking.
But anyway -- it's kind of fun -- it's free-- and I think there's lots of good information.
