Fruit Smoothies

Of course losing weight I am trying to better my eating habits; I was wondering if fruit mixed up in a blender like a fruit smootie would be good for you! I know fruit is good for you; but wondering if it helps in weight loss in this form. May be a dumb question lol!

Hey Stacy ~

I LOVE Fruit Smoothies! I make them a lot. I add frozen strawberries, a banana, crushed ice, lite apple juice and lite yogurt (strawberry usually) to a blender and blend it until it's really smooth. Delicious and good for you!
I guess you could make any kind you'd like. All strawberry, all banana, etc.

If you do it yourself you dont have any of the excess preservatives, sugars, calories, etc that the pre-made ones have in them. When I went home for Thanksgiving; my brother made one with Strawberries, ice, blueberries (frozen), and orange juice. It was awesome!

I don't mind having a smoothie every now and then for a change in my diet. Smoothies would be great right after a workout since they have a lot of carbs in them
