vitamins

How many of you guys take a mult-vitamin? What other kinds of vitamins do you take?
I have started taking a mult.. Centrum was recommended in a book I read. I've also started taking calcium. Although, I didn't get the kind my book recommended. It recommended calcium citrate, or something like that. Anyway, if I ever finish what I have, that's probably what I'll get next time.
I think she also recommended some others, but I can't remember which.
I have a hard enough time remembering to take what I'm trying to take now. I rarely get both calciums in, since you're supposed to take 2 tablets a day, and not take them together. But I figure something is better than nothing. I just haven't developed the habit yet.
So, share with me what supplements you're taking and why. Calcium and a multi are pretty obvious. Also, if there are any brands you think are better than others.
I think Missy and I have both tried the 'weight smart' vitiamins by 'one a day', I think. They made us both puke. Taken with food and everything.... And, that is NOT the way I want to lose weight.

I tend to stick with vitamins that come from natural sources i.e. Desiccated Liver tablets, Brewers Yeast, Wheat Germ, Flax meal, Spirulina, which is a type of blue/green algae, and Vitamin D tablets made from fish oil. Also drink kefir for the probiotics it contains.

Before I eat anything I ask myself what does this food contain that my body needs. Blueberries contain phytonutrients, the soy milk I drink contains protein, salmon contains some Omega-3 oil that I need. So I will choose those foods that give me the most nutrients for my money.

Also I carry my supplements around with me in a plastic vitamin/pill container, which helps me to remember when to take them. The containers usually come with several different labeled compartments. You can but these small plastic containers at any Drug Store.

I take a multi-vitamin too, I think Centrum is what I have currently. I also take a Calcium with Vitamin D, since calcium needs the D to be absorbed. When I remember I also take fish oil pills, which contain the Omega-3 oils lacking in my daily diet. I probably remember them 3* per week.

I take tresos b and have flaxseed oil every day, either in salad dressing or straight in water in the morning, it's really good for you.
