Does anyone know when I can stop being anxious about auditioning for this show? As long as they are still casting I still have hope. Obviously, if season 3 begins and I am not on it, I will assume that they didn't chose me, but surely I don't have to wait that long (ha ha).

I'm curious, when / where did you audition? I would think that if they were doing casting calls now that it wouldn't be aired until sometime next fall or spring.

I sent in my tape this month. The deadline for tapes has now been moved to the middle of Feb. I know for sure that if you go to a casting call they tell you that if you are called back you will here in a week or so. I have no idea what they do for those sending in their auditions. As far as I know, the show airs in the fall but they have to do all the promotional footage and pretape the shows in order for the final three contestants to have time to go home and diet alone for at least 5 months. Then they still have to have time to edit everything before the live finale. I would think that if there is no response by the end of Feb. then chances are no good. Have you applied or gone to a call?

I also sent in a tape. So, you aren't the only one obsessing about when or if they will let us know. I hope they will at least maybe email us a reply. I don't know tho, they have so many auditions, that would probably be asking alot huh? Hey, just a thought, wouldn't it be cool if two Michelles from this forum both made it?

Well, think of it this way. Atleast you have been proactive enough to audition for the next season. That says a lot about your character and willingness to go the distance! Even if you do not get chosen (but I hope you do! ) you have already made a commitment to yourself to start losing. By the time Biggest Loser 3 airs, you might look as good as the winner! One thing that I was doing wrong was waiting to get my application complete, take my pictures, and tape myself on camera - I have realized that there is a big possiblity of me not getting chosen so I have to work on losing my weight NOW. I have started changing ways of my eating habits and have started exercising every day. Applying for this show is one step in losing the weight but it isn't the only way I can do it.

I am wanting to begin dieting again also but don't have a clue as to which to try. The BL plan seems to work so maybe I'll sign up for that. I guess if I did get chosen I could pack on the pounds before the initial weigh in so I'd have more to lose (just kidding). I thought my audition video was pretty good. I showed my closet and then took the viewers on a field trip reinactment with my class through a washed out gully looking for rock types. I got stuck a few times and it was pretty funny. I even added some bloopers at the end. I hope whoever got the DVD watched the whole thing. I sent it in hopefully before the rush started. What did you guys do for your videos?

Michele...I have actually done my tape but thanks to the extension I am redoing it. I haven't sent it in yet. I don't know what to do - the first one I did I sat in a chair and talked for a little over 3 minutes about who I am and what my goals are. It was soooo boring - I want to do something fun. Did someone tape you doing this? My thing is that I don't just want to sit in front of the camera and be boring - I want it to be fun to watch! If anyone has any ideas please let me know. THANKS!

Paty Ann: SHOW them why you want to be on the show. Don't just tell them. It's a pain in the butt, but take the camera with you all day long and shoot a minute here and a minute there of your busy day. If you have a husband and/or children get them in it so they know your family supports you in this. You could be gone for up to 10 weeks, they need to know your family can handle things while you are away. Now get filming!!! HAVE FUN!!!
