I can't believe I missed the auditions!!!!
Why in the world did they have the auditions so early? I never even saw where they had casting calls. I am so bummed! I am still so upset about not being cast for season 3. I wanted it sooo bad. I get majorly depressed when I see the previews and now I find out that I have missed next seasons chance also. I have tried and tried to lose on my own but I can't figure out the right combination. I worry about myself sometime because I am so obsessed with being on this show. It's not even about the money, it's about the chance to be away from it all and have people help you find the right diet and fitness regime. It is not normal for me to be obsessed with anything and I am making myself miserable. I need comfort.

I personally think it is a godsend that you didnt get on the show....Why? I will tell you.
1) You have a huge group of friends here who will do anything and everything to help you succed.
2) You dont have to live in a "safe environment" only to be booted back into the real world where temptation is everywhere. If you can deal with it now; you can deal with it forever.
3) If you got kicked off the first week; you would still have to lose the majority of the weight on your own (same as us).
4) There is no drama here; just friends
A long time ago, I would have done anything to get to goal...have risky surgery, pills, starve....that doesnt work. You have to heal from the inside out. Eating is not your problem. Whatever is causing you to eat is. Even if you lost all your weight at the ranch; you would still have to come home to whatever you were running away from. You can do this. It wont be easy and there are no quick fixes here. But I know that somewhere in you (in all of us) is the strength needed to journey on and change our lives. By doing that, we will also change the lives of the people around us. If you need anything dont hesitate to ask. There is almost always somebody here to talk to. My email is always open.
1) Breathe
2) Envision the woman you see yourself as when all this is over
3) Take the necessary steps to BECOME that woman
4) BE THAT WOMAN!

not really mental
I know I sound mental, but I'm not, just frustrated. My metabolism is so messed up and my will power is not the greatest. My husband and kids unconciously sabotage me all the time. A few months ago I joined a fitness club and was working out 3-5 times a week. I felt great, had energy etc. but then summer was over and back to the job grind (I'm a teacher). Getting back into it again is hard to do. My hubby is working at night now and I have to take the kids with me everywhere I go. I know this sounds like a grip session and a bunch of excuses and I'm sorry about that. I need a physical person to kick me in the behind and get me going. That's why I wanted to be on the show. To kick start me (ha ha).

There is another fellow poster on here who I think you should meet. She also feels "sabotaged" by her family. That has got to be the worst feeling in the world. We dont pull that crap here...promise.

Again, I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to the boards. I also noticed in your signature your first mini goal to be 220 BY DECEMBER...you shouldn't place time limits on weight loss because your body fluctuates up and down so much that if you don't get to where you hoped you would be in a certain amount of time, you get frustrated, discouraged and give up.
Try setting smaller goals for yourself that are more attainable. Saying you have a goal of losing 5-10 pounds a month is more reasonable...than saying you HAVE to be 220 BY december. I have just found it sets you up for failure if you don't achieve it.
Weight loss is hard and takes a lot of patience. I have gone months without losing anything...you just can't give up. Keep pushing yourself through it and your body will catch up eventually.
Just because you didn't get on the show, doesn't mean you can't do it...because you can!

Hi Michele
My hubby has been doing the same thing. I refuse to let him go to the store anymore and if there is something special that he wants he goes to get it himself, but then he brings home so much that it sits around then I see it, and its pretty much gone. He gets his daughter to tell me that she doesnt have to eat "diet food" so he uses her as an excuse to get fast food and bring it home. In the last couple of weeks Ive tried coming up with ways to make everyone happy in regards to food, but I think that he is also scared that I will go to greener pastures if people start noticing me. He doesnt seem to realize that I married him. Not anyone else. I have gottten to the point that I have told him, I AM going to loose weight, I AM going to be happy, I AM going to leave him if he cant be supportive. I know its kind of harsh but Im not going to stay married to someone that cant be happy with me. Because of everyone on these boards I have finally put myself first. Put your foot down and tell them how its going to be. LOL dont take any crap.

for Season 4.....I have heard that they may be running a special announcement to send in your video's during the first show! I was told by the casting agent in Seattle that I have been dealing with....that they didn't get as big of response to the casting calls as they had hoped. This was the first time that they did it without TV announcements! Be ready for something on Sept. 20th's show....it sounds like they are still planning on doing it....since I was told that they are not casting until December for January taping.
Good Luck!

I watched the show, but there was no announcement. Now I am wondering what that means...I am going to see if I can dig up a little more info.
Stay tuned!
