I think that is awesome that you were able to hear how your family felt about you and your weight loss. No matter what happens, I know that this moment has surely brought all of you even closer together.

your tape sounds like a winner. I'm so jealous that I didn't think of the family interview thing. It's too late for me anyway. I already sent in mine and there is no way I am going to do another. The editing was really hard.

I am so excited to see how well the tape turns out...my brother-in-law is finalizing the cd tonight. I don't know how to do it...lol. My children were so nervous on camera...it's too cute...my little one was talking about her Papa and Bma being gone...lol. When I went to interview my husband he was speechless...he became nervous and couldn't say anything...lol. I said "Do you not want to be interviewed?" and he said "Not really." I said "Okay." So...I went in and finished my part of the audition...I was upset that he wouldn't talk on camera but can understand. It is very hard talking to a camera.

I wonder how they weight different factors -weight, likability, health, location, jobs, dedication, reasons for losing weight.. what if they have already found someone similar to you? ARe they casting characters or people who really need it and want it? So much I wish I knew, not because I'm auditioning, just curious.

I could never be myself in front of a camera! I couldn't stand having cameras around 24/7

Patty Ann, I think it's wonderful that you have the courage and willpower to audition for the show. I also think it's great that your family is on your side and helping you with this.

I don't really have any tips because I don't know what they look for. I have never looked into auditioning for them so I don't even know what the requirements are. I'm sure your video will do great though!!

I think it would be so awesome it we could see someone from the boards go on the show and kick some major butt! Good luck!

Also there was an episode on T.V. about the reality of reality t.v. I can't remember the name of the show but the general idea is DRAMA. They talked about how show producers would start fights between members by saying that person said such and such behind your back. Sex is another area they try to instigate, they would approach the two they want something to happen with and would tell them that the other person was interested, or set up scenarios where they would do something etc. Reality television is unscripted drama but it's forced, otherwise you would have boring people on t.v. Even The Biggest Loser, it's a reality T.V. show so they have to make it entertaining. I was just telling my GF the other day I hardly saw anyone taking a break and that they can't be busting their asses like that on the beach/sand 8 hours straight. What she said was they only have 1 hour of T.V. so their not going to show people sitting down on their ass.

Best Drama I can think of is crying. I fast forward through that but I suspect most people watch.
