This made me laugh a lot!

It's not easy, but remember you're eating for health. The more you work out, the more your body will crave substance -veggies, lean meat.

Soon you'll eat something bad, give in and eat it, and think ew, why did I ever want this? I feel disgusting now. Or you can look at the calories they contain and compare it to the exercise it would take to burn it off. For example, if I ate this small tub of ice cream I would have to walk 10 miles to burn it off. That kind of math gets your attention quickly. Or, try this: Would I rather 1) have the body I want for a lifetime or 2) eat this bad food right now. Which do you want more? 5 min of pleasure now or overall happiness later.

The easiest way? Just don't have junk food around. Don't buy it. Don't carry cash. Whatever it takes to avoid snack machines and snack attacks. Then you only have to be strong in the store, not at 2 am when you want to raid the fridge. Make sure and allow yourself some good alternatives -fruit, sugar-free fudgesicles, sugar-free jello, 100-cal packs of things. Portion control and having healthy alternatives will both help you out right now.

Remember you're not denying yourself by not eating those junk foods. You were just denying yourself good health by eating those foods. Now you're treating yourself to a healthy life.

So if you're craving out of boredom, exercise. Or come post in your journal and read others -let them inspire you to stick to your diet. Or eat something healthy and controlled portions. Or drink water first -often thirst is mistaken for hunger. Get plenty of water in you and you'll be less hungry. Figure out WHY you're eating junk foods and that will help you stop it easier than just trying to stop eating junk. It's a head game as much as anything.

Overwhelmed you yet? I hope not. We've all been there, and we all fall back into it, but it's better and better with every effort you make. Good luck with the diet and keep up the great work on the exercise. We're cheering for you to reach your healh goals!
