What is the proper way to determine your target heart rate? The fitness experts at my gym told me what mine should be...but how do you figure it out? I was looking it up online and could only find this....

At the gym the people told me I should be between 126-165...that's the range where I burn the most fat...
This site here tells me 117-156...
I guess they are pretty close..but isn't there something more accurate?
