I think I have worked out a decent compromise with myself. I really don't want to give up my soda! But I know it's not good for me. So I allow myself a bottle (24 oz)a day, as long as I drink at least twice as much water.
I see some who drink Crystal light too. I think that is fine as well. It is liquid, and does help to hydrate you. But I don't think there's anything better than just plain old water. Sometimes I might put in a lemon wedge, but no artificial anything.
I used to drink only diet pepsi, and very little water. But while I think diet pop, and these other diet drinks are fine in moderation, I don't think they can replace water.
Best advice ever given, in my humble opinion.... 'Everything in moderation."
