I talked to the health manager at the gym today about starvation. He said that people who don't eat think they are doing a good job because the numbers on the scale are going down really fast...but you are really hurting yourself. By not eating..you are not only losing fat, but you are also losing your muscle and that's not good.

He also said that once you start eating a normal diet again, you gain the weight 3x faster because you screwed up your metabolism by not eating. It's better to lose weight by eating the proper caloric intake as well as a good exercise program.

I'm not trying to belittle, I just don't want you to hurt yourself and be upset in the end.
