I'm really sorry that you are disappointed - I'm sure it is a very difficult process to get picked and I think they must start off with a set idea of the kinds of personalities and kinds of people that they are looking for and have strict limits on who they accept. I'm sure there is nothing more that you could have done to increase your chances of being picked - its very much the luck of the draw. Try and keep your motivation up and keep trying!
