Don't be afraid to spice things up

I don't know about you but when I am cooking sometimes I am a little timid about adding a lot of spices to my food.
last night I cut up 6 (4oz) chicken breast to have for dinner last night and for my lunches all week this week. I usually saute them them in the wok with a little chicken broth instead of oil. I always add a little spice... minced garlic, basil, pepper, whatever else I grab that sounds good at the time.
Last night I was being a little lazy and didn't feel like sauting onions like I normally do so I grabbed the onion powder (what I thought was onion powder) didn't look at the botle, unscrewed the lid (because the onion powder has a shaker top) and went to shake it over the chicken. My 1st shake and all of a sudden all the red looking spice POURS!!!!! out of the bottle. I had forgotten I had bought a new bottle of Emeril's chicken rub and put it next to the onion powder in the pantry. So now HALF of the bottle is in my chicken and being soaked up by the chicken broth. I stood in totally shock long enough that I didn;t have time to get any of it out of the pan before it incorporated itself. So what can I do? I stir it all together. Added some diced tomatoes and mushrooms and prayed for the best. Brought dinner to the table and told Tom that I would call for pizza when this was bad. We both tried it and it was actually really good. Hubby said I can make a mistake like that anytime. So I will be experienting more in the future with spices and trying to not be afraid to add a little more spice to our life
