It's really cool that he took the time to write back. He's gone from a normal person to being on TV and well-liked and I'm glad he's out there helping others.
I suppose we always blame our faults on something like not having enough money or time and he is a good example of that there are no excuses -that our weight is our responsibility. It's just frustrating because I'm in a situation as a student where it's even difficult to exercise in my living room -it's too small to even raise my leg to kick. I can't afford too many luxuries and cheap foods are fatty/bad foods.
I guess it's the same feeling when I saw this couple on Oprah that was ther e for financial counsiling because they were $175,000 in debt. But each year they earned over $100,000. That's like 10 times what I make -how come they can't live on that? The answer is the same -they suffer from poor choices and need help.
I didn't mean to imply Dr. Jeff wasn't a really nice guy. I'm glad he has inspired you and your husband. You have made a really good point that general people know better than to let themselves get too overweight too. I didn't mean to offend, just that he' a different type of contestant than I expected on the show.
