Anemic / Anemia
Hey I've noticed everyone talking about cutting the egg yolk out of their diet because of the excess calories it contains. A problem I have is I'm constantly borderline anemic; I have been all of my life. I'm not to the point to where my physician has put me on iron tablets or anything like that, but I do tend to think that if a blood study were performed he might. My concern is I need the extra protein that the eggs provide. I have to maintain a proper protein intake or I'll drop back down to being anemic again. Anyone out there know a little more about this than I do.
Honestly, I just know that when I get anemic I'm severely fatigued, and rest and proper protein intake appear to help. One other thing that it seems as if I recall is that when vitamin C is combined with iron, the body tends to absorb / retain the iron better.
