I've said from day 1, anyone seriously wanting to win and 'play the game', needed to get rid of those giant football players. I was always surprised, in earlier episodes that there was never really any discussion about that -- at least none that I saw.
All the 'bleeping' on Tuesday's show made me think I was watching 'Jerry Springer'. I just had this discussion with my kids the other day -- cussing makes you sound low class and stupid. Sadly, the 'F' word has almost completely lost it's shock value for me. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it won't have to be 'bleeped' anymore either.
I have to wonder about Jillian -- if her tirade had anything to do with the fact she's such a competitor, and she can see her 'team' going down in flames, and there's very little she can do about it. I think she was trying to be real with her team, and with herself, but that it bugs her so much she just lost it at the weigh in. I still think she needs to do everything possible to lose the defeatist attitude her girls have.
I watch this show for entertainment -- not inspiration anymore. Too much game play, too much drama... They get up on the scale and lose 4 pounds in a week, and are horribly disappointed. That's not right and it's not healthy. This show really won't teach you about getting healthy -- it's just another game show.
It is what it is... and I think it's high time they did a female only and/or a male only version.
Now I'm wondering when the game play will kick in for the boys, and they will start voting each other out, wanting to keep the girls in for the final. Dan eluded to it, I thought, but this situation lets him keep those cards close to his chest, for now anyway.
