Welcome to both of you. I understand what you mean about emotional eating - both my husband and I are... unfortunately for us we are at the same time so we don't help eachother. Whenever you are feeling like you want to eat (and you aren't really hungry) really make an effort to recognize why it is you want to eat. Then you can choose whether you are eating cause your hungry or because your sad, agree, tired, bored, etc.
Also if you know you are wanting to eat because of an emotional thing... do something else for 5 minutes. Drink some water, fold some laundry, go for a walk, sign on to this website and type "HELP I'M GOING TO EMOTIONAL EAT - PLEASE TALK ME OUT OF IT" and then if all else fails and you still want to eat... make a good choice in food... not a box of chocolate covered donuts
