Biggest Loser Newbie
Hi Everyone!
My name is Missy and currently I am 25 years old. I live in London, Canada and have lived here for about 5 years now.
My current weight is 250 pounds and I am only 5'4". I haven't always been overweight. I gained most of my weight when I started taking the anti-depressant called Paxil. I have been taking it for anxiety reasons, but for the last month and 1/2 have been trying to wean myself off of it. I gained around 60 pounds in 6 months from taking Paxil. So far I have went from taking 50mg a day down to alternating between 10mg and 20mg.
For the last month I have been working with a personal trainer at Premiere Fitness. He is incredible at motivating and pushing me. Working with him I've lost 10 pounds already, but I would like to lose more weight faster. I go to the gym 5 days a week. Mon, Wed and Fri I work with the trainer for an hour doing weights and running up and down stairs..doing squats. Then Tues and Thurs I just do an hour of cardio. I am lifting heavy weight too, I have been doing 270 pounds on the leg press and between 80-100 pounds on the chest press, 100 pounds leg extentions etc...my trainer works me very hard. Some days he makes me do leg lunges for the whole hour...or running the stairs for the whole hour.
Here is my diet for a typical day...consuming around 2400 calories according to what my trainer has advised me.
Breakfast-1 carton of egg whites (8 egg whites) and 1/2 a banana
Snack-Low Fat Yogurt, Turkey Bite (like a pepperette) and 9 pretzels
Lunch-Low fat cheese, turkey breast sandwich (whole wheat, whole grain bread) and an apple
Snack-1 orange, protein powder
Supper-1/2 cup whole grain brown rice, 2 cups green peas, 1 chicken breast, 1 cup garden salad w/ light italian dressing
Snack-2 pieces celery w/ low fat peanut butter, low fat cheese
I drink 12 (250ml) glasses of water everyday also
