Jules -- that made me laugh. I completetly understand where you're coming from. I no longer buy my husband any presents. Well, maybe a few, but the only things I will get him have to have Iowa State on them. That's all he ever gets for presents from anyone -- it's all he enjoys getting. He's told me not to waste the money -- not being sacrificial or anything, but more in the sense that, 'you won't get anything I really want anyway, so don't spend the money' . No -- he didn't actually say that, but his meaning was clear. I once got him socks -- white crew socks--- and, swear to God -- he took them back. After that, I said "no more'. And I hate it, because I don't like the example it sets for our kids. But it's NO FUN to shop for people like that!
