I can't tell you how glad I am that someone else has noticed this too!!!
Its not enough that they have Jennie-O cartons of turkey getting a front n'center shot during the opening credits, push Jell-o and diet soda on us (which lets face it, are nutritionally void) they also had an enormous spotlight for Bayer Aspirin one week and that really made me feel like I'd had enough.
If you love Jello thats great but personally, I loathe Jell-O, its baby food. If I'm going to spend 110 cals on a dessert I'd rather have it as a tablespoon of gorgeous, creamy real ice cream than pots and pots of jell-o or aspartame-filled sugar free ice cream.
There could be so much more that they show but cluttering it up with shamless plugs is demeaning the quality of the show, in my opinion.
I'm sure that NBC gets more than enough dollars from the ads they show every six minutes, but having product placement be so heavily and so blatantly included during the program is a little much to swallow.
I want to watch a show, not an infomercial!!
