Woke up in time to eat breakfast (now that's a first in a long time). I had Blueberry Heart Smart Oatmeal. I had forgotten how yummy it was. I couldnt resist; I got back on the scale again this morning before my shift and I am down again. Still up some from 145.2 (my lowest to date). Gotta hide the scale or I will drive myself nuts. It can say all it wants; but the only number that matters was last Thursday's number and this coming Friday's number. Had 1 Whole Wheat Pita Pocket, Clam Chowder, and a salad for lunch. Dinner will most likely be salad, fruit, blueberry yogurt, and no sugar added hot chocolate. Trying to keep things simple. For those of you who noticed that I am now on a blueberry kick....It all began last weekend when we were in Maine. I saw Blueberry Pancake Syrup (they had blueberry everything!) and man did I wish they had sugarfree. No such luck. But I did walk away with a bag of Blueberry coffee. Oh wow does this smell awesome!! Smells like blueberry pie. It was worth buying for the smell alone. I cant wait to taste it. Unfortunately, it is not caffeine free. So that is reserved for mornings I want to stay in bed and play hooky. Also found a Pumpkin Spice Coffee that I want to order. The manufacturer is
Green Mountain.
So far my, "Eat Whatever The Heck I want to (Within Reason) Diet (aka: Lifestyle Change) is working. My only rules are the following:
1) Everything in moderation; I am not a prisoner to food anymore
2) If I cant be trusted with it; I dont buy it
3) Keep it simple (500 ingredients just complicate things)
4) Not to eat to the point of exploding
5) Higher sodium foods are eaten for lunch and not dinner
6) As little caffeine as possible
7) Keep logging my food in a journal
8) Most of my daily choices must be healthy and useful to my body for fuel; eating is not just to please my tastebuds
9) I must exercise, unless I am too sick
10) No forbidden foods; just forbidden portion sizes
11) No calorie counting, unless more than 2 items are higher calorie
12) Keep slugging water and not to forget my daily suppliments
13) Show the world what I can do on my own!
