When we returned to the workshop they had all of these Hershey's kisses spread all over our tables (I again resisted), then at our break they had homemade cookies in the cafeteria (I didn't even venture in there). After the workshop we went to Joe's Crab Shack for Happy Hour to celebrate one of the teacher's birthday. They were having 99 cent Margaritas and 25 cent appetizers. When I walked in there was a huge platter of each of the following sitting on our table: potato skins, buffalo wings, oysters, shrimp, mozarella sticks, stuffed jalapenos and crab balls! Man that was hard! I wouldn't even gone, but we had traded names for birthdays and I was responsible for this teachers b-day. Another teacher and I sat with them and just had water with lemon. They kept offering us appetizers and telling us how a "little" wouldn't hurt our diets! Thank goodness the other teacher was there to support me. We didn't give in! Woohoo! I drank my glass of water, wished her a happy b-day and left! I was depressed on the ride home, but then got my workout clothes on and went to the gym! This was a really tough day for me and I am soooo proud of myself for sticking to my guns.

Way to go! You have done a wonderful job! 5 lbs in a week - AWESOME! I didn't even think that was possible.

It is great that you have been able to acknowledge how well you are doing with turning away foods that you would usually have eaten. I have been doing the same! It is always good to have a supporter instead of those telling you that it won't hurt...those are the ones you have to be wary of being with when you are trying to change. We need the supporters!
